Ethan:
The top news of the day was our meeting
with the Magi council tonight, but instead of doubling up on that; I’ll leave
it to Ehlana to write about; and just cover the rest of my report.
We worked at the lab this morning; played
with our friends this afternoon; mixed in a bit of fun here and there with
Cassie and Mom; and had that meeting tonight.
That was easy; I’m done now; and can go to
sleep now.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
Since Ethan’s done such a succinct job of
covering the rest of our day; I won’t bug him about leaving the main news up to
me.
Mom, Dad, Cassie, Ethan, and I met with
about half of the Magi council tonight to discuss Cassie’s imminent departure
for college. Grandma, Grandpa, and the
other members were either away or unavailable for other reasons, but then we
didn’t need to have them make any decisions – just let them know a bit more
about what we know of our near-future.
We can’t do that for everything we know, and they didn’t feel better by
the time we were done; but we will all be doing what’s meant for each of us –
and that’s really all that matters right now.
I’ll need to restrict this journal update
for a few years, but let’s include a few details from that meeting.
**RESTRICTED TO MAGI MASTERS AND MAGI
COUNCIL**
Cassie needs to be allowed to let Michael,
Tim, and Rowen know about each other; and will be allowed to do that when Tim
turns eighteen later this month – once they’re away at school. They need to do that because she will then
train them so that they can work together to protect each other while they’re
away at college. The council isn’t happy
about that, but they can’t argue the fact that Cassie will have three of the
most-powerful Magi with her – and they don’t even know just how amazing they’ll
be together.
We know that there will be dangers ahead
for them because of the Hathornes, but can’t comment beyond that; and what will
happen is meant to be one of the next steps toward the Ascension of the
Light. While we talked over Cassie’s
situation, we also spent some time talking about near-term plans for here at
home – including my work in the lab and Ethan’s work in the archives. There were a few more issues for our town
too, but nothing too earth-shaking by comparison – at least for now. I’d say that the Ascension of the Light is a
fairly-big deal, but we’re really still just at the start of that event, and
when you think about it; the work will really just be starting once we have
defeated the dark – though, as always; that will not be a permanent defeat.
I think that’ll do for tonight, but there
will be a lot more to come over the next weeks, months, and years; so stay
tuned for more Magi Masters’ adventures!
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
