Ethan:
The only news around our house today is
about Cassie getting ready to go off to college. Ehlana and I have gotten to spend some time
with Cassie today; but we’re also out of the loop a bit as we also worked at
the lab this morning and played with our friends this afternoon as usual. We were also at the park during Mom and Dad’s
ball practice; helped out with the younger cousins; and then needed some tub
time tonight to get cleaned up before bed.
I’m ready to get some sleep now; though I’ve
done an hour of reading in the archives since finishing up with our bedtime
chat and snack in the office with the whole family. Tomorrow will be more of the same with an
added going-to-college meeting tomorrow night that is going to be a lot of fun,
but I’ll have more on that with the next update. That is all of the news, though; so it’s time
to wrap this up and get on with the nap time.

Ehlana:
Three more sleeps until Cassie leaves for
college on Saturday.
Meals, snacks, and some play time at the
park during Mom and Dad’s ball practice help a little, but even my upcoming
move to the third-floor isn’t helping much right now; and my feelings are in
contrast to Cassie’s excitement. Yes,
she’s going to miss us a lot too, but she is about to begin an amazing
adventure; so she has more of a reason to be fired up while we’ll be staying
here and life will go on as normal without her – just as it does with everyone
else that goes off to college or away for other reasons.
Okay, that’s not totally-true for us, but
let’s not get into what Ethan, Cassie, and I see for our future.
In addition to the time we spent with
Cassie, Ethan and I worked at the lab all morning; played with Naomi, Aiden,
and some of our friends this afternoon; and I did some research after coming up
to bed for the night after our baths and bedtime chat, snacks, and story time. Tomorrow will be more of the same plus some
bonus fun; and then our fun will really kick up a few notches by Friday – along
with extra work to get ready for the going away party we’re hosting for Cassie,
Michael, Rowen, and Tim before they’ll be leaving on Saturday morning.
It’s time to get some sleep; so I guess
that’s all for tonight.
