Cassie's Journal - November 29, 2017

Happy 17th Birthday, Rowen!

She’s had a really happy day; Michael, Tim, and I have helped her out with that; and the fun level is about to kick up a few notches – which is why this will be another micro-update!

I was up early; got ready for some extra birthday fun with Rowen; and then headed over to her house to help get her day off to a great start after Tai Chi.  We had some fun playing dress-up; since one of my gifts was a new outfit; I joined in for breakfast; and then we headed for school with Michael, the twins, Naomi, and Aiden.  Tim met us there, the birthday fun continued off and on all day; and then we had some play time after school until we needed to get ready to go out for Rowen’s birthday dinner at the Inn.  That was a family event with just a few friends; and then Michael and I brought Rowen and Tim home with us for the night so that we could have some teen-rated fun in the lounge and a co-ed sleepover.

We had to do our homework too, but we’ve mostly had fun watching Christmas movies while enjoying some quality couples’ cuddle time; and now I’m doing this while getting ready for bed – or in my case; a sofa sleepover with Michael.  Rowen and Tim are not doing that, but they are in rooms on the third floor with us; and Tim has already gotten mixed up and ended up in the wrong room for the rest of the night.

Maybe Michael and I should just do that too, since we have had some hotel sleepovers now, but we’re just not ready to do that at my house or his; so we’ll stick with the sofa sleepovers for a while longer.

I do have that fun to get to now, though, and I’m skipping the work and studying tonight because of that; so I’ll have to make up for that lack of work tomorrow – or into the weekend.  That won’t exactly be easy, but I really need to go; and you can always keep flipping digital pages in my future to find out why I’m going to be a bit busy over the next three or four days.

For now, though I’m skipping all of the birthday details, I really need to go and actually enjoy life for the rest of the night; and some make-out time with Michael is way more fun than quality time with my computer! ;^)

The only important news is that Rowen’s had a really great day, though, and I won’t be reporting on her hottest-ever-so-far birthday sleepover; so, until next time...

Cassie's Journal - November 28, 2017

It’s late and I need to be up early; so this is going to be a micro-update.

We had a good day at school; cloudy, but decent weather; band practice was all about getting ready for the Christmas parade season; and Christmas was the theme for our teen praise team practice too.  Michael had dinner at my house; it was nice having him with me for that band practice now that football is done for the year; and he came home with me after our teen praise team practice so that we could do our homework before he went home and I got to work on my family business and language studies fun!

Let’s skip even thinking about how many time-phased hours ago that was; call it a night; and let me wrap this up and crash into nap mode for a while.  I have a best-friend birthday to celebrate starting in a few hours, and want to be ready to give that my all; so, until next time...

Cassie's Journal - November 27, 2017

Grandma and Grandpa headed back to Arizona this morning, so before I get to the rest of my update; I should cover a bit of news from the weekend that I didn’t mention while I was either too tired or interested in spending bonus cuddle time with Michael.

First up, all of our hometown relatives that were away for the weekend had fun with their trips and got back here safely – and in time to catch the last buffet sitting.  Grandma and Grandpa were at that last buffet too – as were most of their kids and grandkids.  I was technically there, but working the dining room doesn’t really count, and since they weren’t in one of my areas; I only had a couple of cameo moments with them while they were there and I was busy with my work.

Violet and Dillon were there too, and will be staying a bit longer for their work at the lab that’s all for their Master’s theses; but I still don’t have a date for when they’ll head back again.  They’ll do that later this week or on the weekend, though; and need to be at college ahead of final exams for the term.  I haven’t mentioned Josiah and Christina over the holidays, but that’s mostly because they didn’t end up having much of a visit here; and I only saw them a couple of times before they were on their way back to school.

There’s other news from around our family and friends, but too much to cover here; so I’ll just go with those samples and move along.

While Grandma and Grandpa were in transit back to the sunny south; we’ve had a really good weather day here with the temperature climbing to around seventy by this afternoon.  Tai Chi by the river was still frosty this morning, but the sun and warm led to more outdoor time for the rest of the day – including for two classes that we took outdoors because we could and an outdoor lunch break too.

Football was obviously the top gossip topic at school, and our football team players were all treated like heroes all day, but the most-obvious change in our lives was the end of football and cheerleading practices.  Playing and just hanging out with our friends at lunchtime was great; and then having the rest of the day off after last class was even better – especially thanks to the great weather!

Michael and I were booked for dinner and the evening at his house, but we took full advantage of the warm once we were set free from school; got our bikes out; and went for a ride around town and at the park with Ethan, Ehlana, Naomi, and Aiden.  There was some play time and a snack break with treats from the Olde Bakery and Emporium too; and then we dropped all four kids off with my parents before going over to Michael’s house to have dinner with his Mom and Dad.

That was a blast of culinary experimentation fun; we did our homework after dealing with the clean-up and going for a walk with Miranda and Jacob; and then there was some music play time so that we could get ready for our band and teen praise team practices tomorrow night.  Add in a bit of make-out time in Michael’s room and a bedtime chat with his parents; and then it was time for me to get home by a bit after eleven o’clock.  Mom did a Magi lesson with me while Dad wrapped up his homework and the twins finished up some of their doctoral studies; and then we all headed up to bed by midnight.

I’ve been working on my usual bedtime computing since then; that work and studying went well-enough; and now I’m ready to crash and nap for a couple of hours before it’ll be time to get up and going again.  The wind-down to the end of November should be a bit quieter now that the Thanksgiving and football excitement will start wearing off, but we are going to still be very busy; and I really need to sleep when I can.

This has been a bonus really great day, though, and that’s one extra thing for me to be thankful for; so that’s likely the only news from this update that really matters the most anyway.

I do need to get to that nap, though, or I may wake up looking like a Zombie Magi Master, and I wouldn’t want to scare anyone by doing that; so, until next time...

Cassie's Journal - November 26, 2017

I really barely have time for a nap now before it’ll be time to get up and going again; so this is going to be a micro-update.

We had a fun morning, including the teen-led church service; and then Michael and I worked the full shift at the Inn that included three holiday weekend buffets that were all sold-out.  We didn’t get done there until nearly-eleven; I saw Michael into his house on my way home; and have been working since getting ready and into bed.

I had a lot to do after the long weekend; which is why I’m now going to wrap this up and have that nap; so, until next time...

...May the Magi Force be with you!

Cassie's Journal - November 25, 2017

Happy 3rd Birthday, Sebastian!

I didn’t get to help out with his celebration today, but his family and friends did help to make his day special; and he did like the gift that Michael and I got for him.  His birthday party started with a lunch and they had a play afternoon, but I missed all of that while in-transit back from Central State.

My news of the day begins from the end of my last report.  Michael and I had a really great hotel sleepover, I cheated with a bit of Magi healing for both of us so we could have some quality make-out time before sleeping; and then we had a blast all morning while having breakfast at the hotel with our friends and team mates; we followed that up with some Christmas shopping at a nearby mall; and then we had a fast food lunch before Michal and Tim needed to get on the bus with the team and Rowen and I headed home with our little van load of teens.

We got home by mid-afternoon; Michael and I helped out with the work at the school; and then we split up to shower and get ready for the dinner-to-close shift.  Michael was the center of attention at the Inn tonight as one of the members of our football champions and a co-MVP too, but we also needed to work hard thanks to a near-full-house in the main dining room pretty much all night.  I had extra fun for a while with Rebecca, but she’d worked early too; so she headed home after the first, biggest dinner rush; and spent the rest of the night there with Lucas and some friends that are home for the holiday from other colleges.

Michael and I worked to close; we didn’t get done until a bit after eleven; and then we stopped in for a visit with Rebecca, Lucas, and the friends that were still with them before I brought Michael home with me.  We got teased about that, but I didn’t care.  Mom, Dad, Ethan, Ehlana, Naomi, and Aiden were all sleeping by the time we got here, but we stopped in to quietly say goodnight to the twins and their sleepover guests on our way up to my rooms.  Michael is getting the lounge ready for the movie we’re not going to watch and the sofa sleepover; and I’m getting ready for the quiet bit of fun we’ll have before falling asleep.

That might not be much make-out time, since we’re both really tired and I can only help with healing both of us so many times in a row before needing to recover with actual, real-time rest!

We have had an amazing day, though, and while we haven’t been able to have very much family play time this weekend, the remember-forever moments we do have instead are great too.  We still have one more day to the holiday weekend, but Michael and I will be busy with the teen praise team in the morning; and then we’ll be working the holiday weekend buffets all day after that.

Make that one more reason for more sleep and less make-out time, but I’m ready to go and meet up with Michael again; so I’ll have to wrap this up and let you know with the next update whether we manage to get that play-sleep mix right tonight. ;^)

I haven’t covered the news from around my family beyond mentioning Sebastian’s birthday party, but I really do want to get to the cuddling with Michael part of my day now, and you can read about that news in other journals, so I’ll just skip that; and wrap this up right now.

Until next time...
