Happy 17th Birthday, Michael!

We’re about to get back to working on making his day as happy as we can; so I’ll keep this short and mostly do a double update tomorrow.

The football game was here at home; the weather was awesome for it; and Michael and Tim were so fired up that Sweetwater Ponds could only manage to score one field goal against us while we scored forty-two on them and coasted through the second half.

We had a victory and birthday party back here after the game that included another campfire but no swimming or camping; and Michael is staying here for a sofa sleepover – not that we have much time to sleep before we’ll need to be at the Inn tor the breakfast shift.  I’ll be sharing a bit of birthday make-out fun with my boyfriend too; but can always make up for the lack of sleep with a bit of self healing.

Okay, the rest can wait for tomorrow so that I can get to that bit of birthday play time for two – even though his birthday is technically finished already.  I don’t think Michael will care about the timing, but if I’m wrong about that; I’ll mention that in my next update too.  That’s all for now, though; so, until next time...

Happy 5th Birthday, Valerie Malloy!

I hope she’s had a happy day, but other than leaving gifts for her when Mom and Dad visited with the Malloys last week and a short phone chat this morning; we didn’t have any other involvement in her birthday adventures – and she didn’t get the day off from Kindergarten either.

Michael and I have had a pretty good day too, if not birthday-fun rated great, but I’m also burned out again right now; so this is going to be a short update.

It definitely felt like fall this morning when we went out for Tai Chi by the river and needed to dress warmly for the outdoor exercise while the temperature was only in the mid-forties.  It did warm up into the mid-seventies by the time Michael had his football practice, so that was nice; but it also gave me an excuse to go and play with Ethan, Ehlana, Naomi, and Aiden after school instead of going home and working.  We played and biked at the park and on the trails; I came home with the twins and helped Mom to make dinner; and then I cleaned up while she and Dad went to the Inn with Ethan and Ehlana for game night.

Michael worked part of the dinner shift after football practice; he came over here after that; and we had fun with all of our usual game night studying, music, and make-out entertainment while my family was away.  Add in Mom’s Magi lesson after that and the fun we had getting the twins tucked in for the night; and we had a good evening.  He went home by eleven; I got to work on my family business and language studies work; and that’s what I’ve been doing for too many hours – including the hours I’ve spent working in a time phase.

This update is already dragging out longer than I wanted, and I won’t bore you with all of those work details when I could be sleeping right now; so that’s all for tonight.

Until next time...

Happy 12th Birthday, Jamie!

I couldn’t do more for Jaimie’s birthday beyond the gifts we sent home with her parents when they were here for the holiday weekend and a short video chat with her at breakfast; but she is having a happy day from what I’ve heard via email from Kaitlyn a while ago.

My day hasn’t been birthday party fun, but I have had a good day.  We’ve had fall-like weather and temperatures today, which is a nice break from the hot – even though I’m sure I’ll miss that too soon and be wishing for that summer weather to return!  Tai Chi was by the river; my school day was fun, including our lunchtime cheerleading practice.  I came home from school while Michael was busy with football and work at the Inn and Rowen was at work at the computer store and got to work on all of my studies and family business work.

I did a lot of that work in a time-phase that Mom, Dad and the twins took advantage of when they could for their own work or studies.  That’s how we all ended up getting our work for the day finished so early.  Michael did not come over tonight once he was done at the Inn, but that’s because I’ve hit the wall and need to crash and catch up on a bit of sleep.  I even came up to my room before Mom, Dad, and the twins were ready to go to bed too; I got changed and tucked in with Mandy; and once I’m done with this update; I’m going to crash and nap for a full night of downtime that I really do need tonight.

I know, it’s shocking, but as I’ve mentioned now and then; even junior Magi Masters run low on power now and then.  Droning on about that – or anything else – will just take away from my nap time, though, and I don’t really have anything else to add tonight anyway; so, until next time...

Cassie's Journal - September 26, 2017

We woke up to a rainy morning; the summer heat wave broke; and we had a damp, overcast, normal fall day.

Tai Chi was indoors; the rain stopped in time for the walk to school; and I stayed dry for the rest of the day.  We had fun as school; ditto that for band practice and our teen praise team practice; Michael came home with me for dinner between football and our practice at the church; and then he came home with me again after that so we could do our homework and have a Magi lesson with Mom.

He went home at eleven; I started in on my work and language studies; and now I’m ready to crash after doing a bit too much today.  It’s three-thirty, but I did hours more work in time phase mode; so I feel as though I’ve been awake for a day and a half or more.
Tomorrow is our mid-week work day, though, so I might be able to catch up on some sleep tomorrow night.  I’ll let you know how that goes for me with the next report, but I just need to crash and nap now; so, until next time...

Cassie's Journal - September 25, 2017

Another hot, beautiful day; another school day mostly spent indoors!

Tai Chi by the river this morning was really great; the rest of my pre-school morning was fun; and then we had a good day that included fun in our classes and cheerleading practice at lunchtime.  I came home after school while Michael was busy and did some of my family business work in the office – while also in a time phase.  I went to his house for dinner with Michael and his parents; and then we cleaned up; did our homework; had a music practice; and wrapped up our evening together with a bit of make-out time before I needed to come home.

Mom did a Magi lesson with me; I spent a bit of time with the twins while getting them tucked into their beds for the night; and then I came up to my room and got to work on my language studies and family business to-do list.  Since I got a head start on that this afternoon, that didn’t take as long as normal, but I am still tired; so I’m glad to have a bit of extra down-time available tonight.

With extra music practices tomorrow, that won’t be an option, and I really do want to get all of the sleep possible when I can do that; so, until next time...
