Happy 17th Birthday, Karla!
Karla’s special day and party are the top
teen news stories around here, but I’m wiped out again; so this is going to be
another short update.
We’ve had decent weather; Tai Chi by the
river was a great start to the day; and then I was busy pretty much through
until now. It was a busy school day;
Rowen and I had our cheerleading practice at lunchtime; and then we worked
after school at the store or home respectively while the boys were busy with
football practice. We met up with them
at the school and went on to Karla’s party.
Tim needed the excuse to drive his car to go out to Karla’s; so Michael
and I went there in Mom’s minivan.
Karla’s family – and her boyfriend, Brock –
made sure that her party was fun for all of their guests, though it was also a
school night; and they all had homework to get done too. Since the party hadn’t started until after
football practice; we had dinner not long after arriving at the farm. Karla isn’t one of our closer friends, so we
were on the edges of the dinner and birthday fun; but then we had some group
fun after the meal; and then Michael and I came home early so that we could do
our homework.
He had to miss his shift at the Inn
tonight, but it’s quieter again this week; so it wasn’t a big deal. Once we were home, we did our homework; had a
Magi lesson with Mom; and then some bedtime fun with Ethan and Ehlana; and then
Michael went home and I came up to my room and got to work.
That was hours ago – and then some;
including the time phased hours. I
really am in need of a nap and won’t get to have much of one, but a couple of
hours of down time is better than none; so, until next time...
...May the Magi Force be with you!
