Ethan:
The grown-ups in the family worked today,
but after exercising by the river and having breakfast at home, Ehlana and I
got ready for our play day and picnic at the park with our friends; headed out
on our bikes; and spent the day riding the trails; playing at the park; and
swimming in the river until it was time to come home and set up our tents for
our camping night before dinner. We only
have Naomi and Aiden doing the camping with us, so we set up two tents with some
help from Cassie; had an early, easy-dinner with Mom and Dad; and then Aiden
and I headed for our ball practice while Ehlana and Naomi got to have an hour
or so of play time with Cassie while we were gone.
We went for a swim after baseball; had more
time to play; and then Cassie joined us in the girls’ tent for an hour of scary
camping stories and a bedtime snack and chat.
She had her going-to-college shopping trip to Crystal Springs tomorrow,
so she was heading to bed when she went into the house, but we’re staying up
late for more camping fun and some portable video gaming too. Ethan and I were hanging out with Ehlana and
Naomi in their tent, but we’re back in ours now; and I’m multi-tasking this
update while Aiden’s taking a turn at one of his favorite games.
I’m going to need to get back to that in a
minute, but that’s all the news I have for today anyway; so at worst you’ll
only miss out on reading about a high score or two – if we get that lucky.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
Naomi is bored with our girl chat; so we’re
going to sneak over to the boys’ tent so that she can cuddle with Ethan while
we watch them play video games.
I’d be crushed, but we’ve already had a lot
of girl chat time with our friends while we were at the park today and then
with Cassie while the boys were at their ball practice and we went for a bike
ride and some play time at the park. We
also don’t really have anything booked for tomorrow, so while we will get up
for Tai Chi by the river; having a nap after that will be an option if we
decide to do that.
Naomi’s about to leave without me; so that’s
my cue to wrap this up and get back to having fun in the real world.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
