Happy 17th Birthday, Denise!
She’s celebrating her big day with a night
out in the city; and that seems to be a popular option with our friends this
year instead of the camping at Quarry Lake that was the top choice last summer. I hope she has a lot of fun tonight, but those
weekend date nights out just won’t be an option for Michael and me this summer –
and maybe not any summer anytime soon.
Working the breakfast shift wouldn’t be
considered birthday adventure-level fun, but Michael and I do like spending
that time with his parents – and we seem to do better with early morning starts
to our day than Jake, Stephanie, or Rebecca do.
We also put in extra time after that to help out with getting rooms
ready for incoming weekend guests; and then I did some of my usual weekend
chores during my time off because we are going to be very busy tomorrow. I’m currently multi-tasking this update while
getting ready to work the dinner-to-close shift; and I’m doing this now because
I might decide to let Michael take me home with him tonight and keep me for a
sofa sleepover.
Okay, that’s what I’m going to do, but don’t
tell our parents; since we do occasionally get away with doing that ‘accidentally’
now and then! ;^)
I’ll pass along the rest of the update –
including the co-ed baseball news – tomorrow night, and I hope that we’ll all
have a really good rest of the day, but since I really do hope that a sofa
sleepover with Michael will be part of that fun for me; this is all I have for
today!
