Ethan:
This is going to be a short report because
I’m doing it before heading over the Uncle Adam and Aunt Leanne’s house for the
night while Mom is taking Dad out for a birthday party. I expect to be doing a lot of gaming and not
getting much sleep; so that part of our story will have to wait until the next
report.
Today, we worked on fall clean-up chores
all day, including packing up the Halloween decorations; Ehlana got to escape
for the afternoon while attending Caroline Carter’s birthday party – Happy 7th
Birthday, Caroline; and we finished up early-enough to get ready for our
respective night out. Hanging out with
my sister, cousins, and some of our friends will be fun – if not as exciting as
a dinner, party at the pub, and kid-free night will be for Mom and Dad, but
then we won’t want or need most of those details; and can wait until tomorrow
to help Dad with celebrating his birthday.
That’s all I have for today; so stay tuned
for the news from the rest of our day with the next update.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
Happy 7th Birthday, Caroline!
I have Caroline to thank for me getting out
of half of the clean-up work at home today – more than half; since I needed
time to shower and get dressed up for her party too. The work around the yard wasn’t much fun – at
least compared to the birthday party; and I was also able to miss out on the
bits of rain that Ethan had to work through this afternoon.
Caroline’s party was for her girlfriends
only, so that was a big change from Aiden’s party, but we had fun; and there’s
a lot to be said for not having the guys around now and then – especially when
we can play games that would never happen with Miles and some of the other guys
there too.
Maybe I’ll even think about having a
girls-only birthday party sometime too – though I don’t know if I’ll ever want
to do that badly-enough to celebrate without my twin. It is something to think about, though; and
it might be good for Ethan to have a guys-only party at least once.
Moving along, we played games this
afternoon, did the cake and ice cream thing along with the gifts and the rest
of the birthday fun; and now I’m at Uncle Adam and Aunt Leanne’s for the rest
of the night – along with Naomi and the rest of the kids staying here for
babysitting and-or a sleepover while the parents are out at a party for Dad’s
fortieth birthday. Yes, his special day
is tomorrow, but his party is tonight – at least for the adults; and he’s
getting a kid-free night too. As Ethan
already mentioned, we won’t want most of those details; so look elsewhere in
the archives for that news if you really need to know.
I’m doing this update while putting my bag
away in Brianna’s room and getting changed for a play night because the dress I
wore to the party won’t work for gaming, movies, and whatever else we’ll end up
doing for the rest of the night. I also
need to wrap it up because the pizzeria pizza is on the way; and Zack and Eli
might eat it all if the rest of us don’t get in on some of the slices early. Ethan and the other guys will try to help
out; so I’ll hope that we don’t end up having Zack and Eli driving us crazy all
night – and dragging some of the other younger boys along for their idea of
fun, but you’ll need to read the next report to find out because that’s all I
have time for tonight.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
