Ethan:
Dad’s work in the city weeks are tough for
Mom from a missing him perspective during most of the week, but Thursday
evenings are an exception for that because she can’t help but enjoy game night
at the Inn when Miranda is so happy to partner with her for the one chance a
month they get to do that – and it’s Miranda’s one legitimate chance for
winning the senior team title too. ‘Chance’
is the wrong word, since they do win most of the time when paired up; and we’re
sure that the other teams have more fun trying their best to come up just short
of besting them than in actually trying to win – especially on nights like this
when Miranda gets to keep the title for longer than a week. There won’t be a game night on Thanksgiving;
so Mom and Miranda are now champions for the next two weeks – just as they are
for most Christmas and summer breaks too.
That’s the top news of the day for our
family, but it was also a bit warmer today, and while we’re not done with the
cold as we head into the holiday and winter; we could get some decent weather
while Cassie’s home – and that’ll be nice for all of us. It wasn’t so nice out that we wanted to go
out and play after school, but Ehlana and I did take the day off from the lab;
and we had Naomi, Aiden, and a bunch of our friends over for some hang-out time
in the lounge that included some video gaming, music, and chat time for the
girls. We kept Naomi and Aiden for
dinner and then went on to the Inn with them after that; had fun there with our
friends and families; and then Mom brought us home for some work, studying, and
a Magi lesson.
A time phase helped out with getting a lot
done; we had a bedtime vid-chat with Dad; and now I’m ready to get some
sleep. We only have one more school day
to go before Cassie will be home; and we’re all really looking forward to having
her here for nine days. Some of the guys
have started razzing me about having to share the third floor with three girls
for the week – including a college girl I haven’t even met yet, but that’s not
something that I’m even thinking about; and it won’t be any different than when
Cassie and Ehlana have had their friends stay with us or go along on holidays
with us.
I do want to be ready for all of fun we’re
going to have, though, so that’s all I have for tonight; and it’s time to get
to the sleeping part of my day.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
Ethan might not be worried about spending a
week in the same house with May, but Naomi has met her; and might be a bit
concerned! ;^)
Okay, she isn’t, but why let facts get in
the way of having a bit of fun with that?
Ethan is amazing; so May could think that he’d be worth waiting for –
and Ethan’s already shown that he has a thing for older women. Sure, there’s a bit of a difference between five
months older and ten years; but that’s just another fact that I can ignore
while having some fun with this joke.
I hope you have fun with that too, since I
don’t have any news to add to Ethan’s report for today. We’re both ready to get some sleep; and the
fun level is really going to kick up for us once Cassie, Michael, and May get
here tomorrow night. Dad will be home
too, and while we have work to do ahead of the holiday weekend; we’ll try to
fit all of that in around the family and friends fun.
I can hardly wait, but still need to sleep;
so I’m going to wrap this up and do that now.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
