Ethan:
All of our weekend guests, Cassie, Michael,
and May got home or back to school safely yesterday; and we’re getting back to
life as normal around here.
That’s why I don’t really have any news for
today. It’s gotten a lot colder out as
the temperature dropped through Sunday and overnight, so we were indoors as
much as possible; our teachers got back to work after the holiday fun last
week; and there has definitely been a drop in the fun level now that we’re in a
bit of a transition from Thanksgiving to Christmas. That won’t last long, and I’m okay with the
temporary break in the action. Ehlana
was just as happy; since it also meant that she could get back to playing in
the lab again. We were there after
school; stayed late; and had a late dinner because Mom had been sure we wouldn’t
be home on time anyway. We worked and
studied in the office after dinner; Mom used a time phase to help us get more
done more-quickly; and now we’re ready to get some sleep – which I’ going to
get started on right now.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
Ethan’s covered the not-so-exciting
highlights of our day; so I’ll keep this short with just a couple of additions.
Most of the girls at school had fun showing
off new outfits today that were picked up during the holiday sales. Naomi and I were in on that activity; and
were happy with the reactions from our favorite boys – and our friends. That’s a bit vain of us, but nobody is
perfect; and we don’t – hopefully – take that love of looking good too far.
I’m also going to add just a bit of news
from Cassie’s world because she let us know that the week off probably just
made her problems with Philippe – her not-so-subtle admirer – worse instead of
better. He was right back to bugging her
first thing this morning before first class; and reminds all of us that we don’t
just have Dark Magi to worry about, and while Cassie can take care of herself;
the fact that she has to deal with so much trouble is another example for why
an Ascension of the Light is so necessary.
That might seem inconsistent right after
writing about my own vanity when Philippe’s issues with Cassie include extreme
vanity that can’t accept that he isn’t far more desirable than Michael to a
girl like Cassie, but there is a big difference between having those personal
flaws and acting on them in ways that hurt others or yourself.
I wasn’t planning on turning this into an
essay or diatribe, though, and that was all of the news I wanted to add; so I’m
out of here and off to dreamland.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
