Ethan:
We were up early; saw Dad off on his trip
to the city; had a nap with Mom and Silkie; and then got on with our normal
school day. Those hours with our
teachers and friends was pretty good; the work time in the lab or archives was
fun; and then Mom, Ehlana, and I had a quiet work-study night that included an
easy dinner and time phasing so that we could be done early and go to bed.
I’m there now; that’s all of my news for
today; and I’ll leave it to Ehlana to write about the bit of news we know about
from Cassie’s college world while I head off to sleep now.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
There isn’t really any news from around
here today; so I won’t add to Ethan’s report.
The news he’s referring to for Cassie is about the Magi lessons she’s
doing with Michael, Tim, and Rowen. She
began teaching them a new power Transmutation that we helped Cassie come up
with as a counter-measure against Dark Magi attacks that can stop them without
having the permanent, more-serious consequences that happen with what they did
to stop Corwyn Hathorne. We especially
wouldn’t want to put that fate on Gwyneth when we know she’s already had issues
with attempted power grabs from other Dark Magi; and it’s a certainty that we
will have to deal with her – even if the ‘when’ for that isn’t something we
know enough about to put the dates on our calendars.
That isn’t funny, but I’m still smiling at
the mental picture of a ‘Fight with Dark Magi Master’ note circled in red on my
school planner.
I must be tired, since that’s getting a bit
weird. The news for starting those
lessons is important because we want Cassie and her friends to be ready sooner
instead of later; and that’s especially-important now that Gwyneth has started
college and has quite a bit of new freedom from her parents – not that she couldn’t
do whatever she wanted anyway. The difference
now, though, is that she can do more without them finding out about it; and
that could be a factor in what is meant to happen between Gwyneth and our
family.
That’s enough for tonight. I’m going to wrap this up; get some sleep;
and then get back to the work and fun tomorrow.
I have a lot that I want to get done this week before we go to see
Cassie and have our Moms and Daughters shopping adventure!
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
