Ethan:
Summer is officially over now; and we’ll be
starting school in the morning.
Some parts of our day have been really
great; and other parts were of the post-holiday-weekend work kind of
not-so-much-fun entertainment. One more
chance for Tai Chi with Cassie and Michael was great; so was breakfast; and
then we had work to do to get our guests – including Cassie – packed up and
then out to do the annual Labor Day shopping tour. We shopped until noon; went to the Inn for
the first buffet; and then most of our weekend guests hit the road for home
while Cassie and Michael stayed at the Inn to help out there for the second
buffet and Ehlana and I came home with Mom and Dad and got to work.
Cassie and Michael stayed at the Inn until
the third buffet sitting began at four o'clock; they swung by to get Mandy and
do a last round of goodbye hugs and kisses; and then we went back to work – which
included work or studying in the office along with the chores. After a big breakfast and the buffet at
lunch, we only had a snack-leftovers dinner.
Ehlana and I did a Magi lesson with Mom after that meal and the clean-up;
we did some more studying in the office too; and then we were sent up to our
rooms to have bedtime baths and make sure we have everything ready for school
in the morning. Mom spent some of that
time with Ehlana so that they could pick out the perfect outfit, and then
Ehlana stopped by to tell me what I’d wear to either coordinate or not with her
outfit. We had a bedtime chat too; and
now I’m ready to get some sleep.
That’s all the news for this summer. Tomorrow will be the start of our Grade Two
adventures!
Yeah, that doesn’t sound all that exciting,
but we will at least get to hang out with our friends; and That’ll be
good-enough – even when we’ll wish we could be at the lab or archives all day
instead.
It is time to play ‘normal’ school kid and
go off to sleep now; so that’s all for tonight.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
What Ethan said; the shopping was great;
and I really miss Cassie again already.
I hope we’ll see them once or twice before Thanksgiving, but the best we
can hope for is a weekend here or there; and it’s going to feel like too-long
until we’ll get to spend any quality time with Cassie and Michael.
It also seems very quiet in here tonight
with all of our guests gone and back at their own homes – or still on the way
there for a few; so having it too-quiet in here might actually make it harder
for me to get to sleep. I need to try,
though, since we’ll be starting to add after-school lab time to the rest of our
busy schedule; so I’d better get sleep when I can.
Stay tuned, as always; and I’ll try to make
things as exciting as is possible for a junior Magi Master can manage while in
Grade Two at school!
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
