Ethan:
The weather was much nicer today as we head
into another stretch of warmer weather again.
We had a good day at school; play and biked at the park and on the
trails with Naomi, Aiden, and some friends after that until dinnertime; and
then Mom went with Ehlana and me to the lab for some play time there after
dinner while Dad worked in the office. I
went to the archive while Mom played with Ehlana in the lab; and then we went
home by ten o’clock; did a Magi lesson; and then Ehlana and I were sent up to
bed.
I’m ready to sleep now; so that’s all for
my news of the day.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
Ditto that for me with Ethan’s report. I’ll add that Mom and I had fun in the
lab. We ran an experiment together, and while
bio-engineering isn’t really something that interests her very much; she enjoys
spending time with me now and then with something that I really do love a
lot. We didn’t have any breakthroughs
tonight, but I didn’t expect that to happen; and my research is still moving in
the right direction.
That’s my news of the day too, but there’s
a bit more news for Cassie that I’ll be putting access restrictions on; so you
may or may not have access to the rest of this update depending on when you’re
reading our journals.
***RESTRICTED UPDATE***
The news for Cassie and her friends for
today is that the two guys that hadn’t known about the attempt to drug Cassie
and her friends went to the Dean’s office on Sunday to report what had
happened, while the three guys that had been involved claimed that, as far as
they knew, nothing happened at all. One
of those three guys – the one that had supplied the drug that they used – is in
a few of Cassie’s classes; he was laughing it up with his buddies this morning;
and Cassie had a little chat with him to let him in on all of the information
she and Rowen had found out about him and the other would-be assaulters, and by
the time she was finished that conversation; he wasn’t laughing anymore.
Cassie also had a meeting with the Dean of
the college, who apparently gets personally involved in these incidents;
Michael went with her for that lunchtime meeting; and so did her Spanish
Professor. That meeting apparently went
well, and I’ll guess that the Dean was impressed with Cassie – not only for her
talents and how she dealt with the incident; but because of how she wanted the
three boys to be dealt with so that they’d both be, hopefully, kept from
attempting to hurt any other women while also not destroying their lives by
getting them kicked out of school and arrested and charged with what would be
rather serious crimes even when they didn’t actually succeed beyond drugging
three out of five of their targets.
That’s all of the news Cassie had for Mom
today, but she’s sure that the Dean will take care of the problem from here;
and that the three boys will take the easier road that doesn’t land them in
prison – along with, in one case, getting an aunt in serious trouble because
her nephew has been stealing drugs from her pharmacy. Ethan and I agree with Cassie’s assessment
from what we sense and foresee; so this will likely be the last restricted
update that we write for this college drama story.
