Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - July 20, 2019

Ethan:

We – the Brontos – returned to our losing ways this morning; and it isn’t looking good for us this season.  Mom, Dad, and the Blizzard won tonight; and do have higher hopes heading into the August stretch and a chance to be in one of the long weekend championship matches.

Add in chores, wedding-related activities and work, and a bit of play time here and there – mostly for cool-down swims in the river; and that’s pretty much our day.  Ehlana and I spent a bit of time with Naomi and Aiden too, but that was mostly baseball-related; and they’re with their own families tonight because they will be spending a lot of time with us around the wedding next weekend – and when we all head west on vacation for the second week of Cassie and Michael’s honeymoon.

That sounds weird, but they want to spend a week with us before they’re back at school, so we’re going to do that; and we’ll save the details for closer to when we head out on that adventure.

I’ll skip the bad details for that baseball loss; leave the co-ed ballgame report to others; and do the same for the wedding update; since there are others keeping track of that anyway.  That’s all I have for tonight; so I’m just going to wrap this up and get some sleep.

Ethan – out!

Ehlana:

I am not going to lead off with telling you that I love my Jacuzzi while doing that anyway! ;^)

It’s exciting to get ready for the big wedding, so we’ve had a really good day, but Ethan’s also right that others are covering that part of our story better than we can – particularly since they’re in on more of the fun than we are.  I should add that Naomi and I helped out with some kid control and play time for younger cousins and friends at Ethan’s ballgame; the boys joined us to do the same while the parents were busy playing tonight; and the swim time was needed because it was hot out today.  Our barbeque lunch was for four; dinner was grilled too, but with a bigger gang thanks to baseball and wedding work; and that’s all I have to add for tonight.

The countdown is definitely on now – and seven more sleeps until the wedding really doesn’t seem like very long anymore.  Stay tuned; we should be in for an amazing end to July and start to August!

This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live from what is now my past!
