Ethan:
Our Sunday morning was quiet – at least
until we headed for church and did that with a small gang of family and
neighbors. After more than a week of
major family and friends fun, the wind-down to a travel day for the cousins was
still comparatively-uneventful as we spent most of the morning at church and
then had to follow that up with a round of goodbyes as Mom and Aunt Leanne took
minivan loads of cousins and headed for the half-way meeting points with their
parents. While Mom was away, Dad had
plans to work in the office, so Ehlana and I had a quick, easy lunch with him;
had a visit and some play time at the lab and archives; and then met up with
Naomi and Aiden again for some play time.
We were with our own families for dinner, but they’re back with us for
the night – mostly because Michael’s decided to get on the road early tomorrow
so that we can get to the college in time to have lunch with Cassie. Naomi’s here with Ehlana to support her while
Aiden and I are away for our turn to have a few days with Cassie and Michael.
We’ve had a quiet evening too that included
some hang-out time with five-out-of-six of our parents while Dad continued to
work; we – the kids- watched a movie in the lounge; and now it’s time to get
some sleep. Our early start in the
morning will include seeing Dad off on his week in the city; so we need to get
the rest while we can. Aiden and I could
get away with a nap while doing our long drive, but should probably try to stay
awake and keep Michael company – even though we know he’d protect our
reputations if we did end up napping anyway.
Finally, I’ll include the news that Naomi
and I had a fair bit of cuddle time during that movie; and there were extra
good night hugs and kisses. Don’t get
weird about that – those kisses are age-appropriate; not major make-out moments
that would be teen-rated. We will miss
each other – just as I’ll miss Ehlana.
That probably does seem weird to most people, but that doesn’t make it
less-true; and that’s even a bit tougher for Naomi because she loses the sense
of the bond between us when we’re that far apart.
Maybe I’ll write more about that later this
week, but that’s all I have for tonight; and it really is time for me to get
some sleep.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
Ethan’s covered the highlights of the day
with just one exception that he may have left to me because of the teen drama
factor. I won’t make a big deal of it
either, but Kaitlyn and Jeremy had a tough time saying goodbye this morning,
and while that didn’t seem to be quite the same for Jaimie and Micah; some of
us knew that they’ve gotten closer than either of them planned or expected too;
so they’re going to miss each other as well.
We don’t have any major news for Cassie,
but I should mention that Rowen and Tim will be heading to the townhouses later
tomorrow too because they’ll be helping to get both places set up for August
when they’ll be there in couples instead of the boys’ and girls’ townhouses
they had last year. Naomi and I
definitely got the better trip deal for that, since we got to play pretty much
the entire time we were there while Ethan and Aiden will get put to work to
help with that move too, but I’m sure they’ll have some fun along with the work
– including a trip to Eagle Gorge.
That’ll do it for me tonight. Ethan may have the more-interesting reports
for the next few days, but I’ll be able to get back to playing in the lab; and
Naomi will make sure that I have some fun here and there too; so we’ll be okay
too.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
