Ethan:
Aiden’s grabbing a shower; so I’m getting
this update done while waiting my turn to get cleaned up before we go to sleep.
Our day started as early as expected with
seeing Dad off on his trip to the city; Aiden and I got ready to go on our
trip; Michael picked us up; and we hit the road while Mom, Ehlana, and Naomi
were planning on some cuddle and nap time before getting their day started –
for the second or third time. The trip
to the townhouses is always long, but we had fun; and the lunch ‘surprise’ for
Cassie and her study buddies was a lot of fun – and worth the early, extra
effort. That’s true for the work we’ve done
since then. After that meal, we worked
on getting Cassie’s and Tim’s things moved out of the townhouses they’ve been
using for the last year to get ready for where they’ll be living for the next
four years while at school. Michael
couldn’t move the bigger furniture until Rowen and Tim got here too tonight
after finishing work for the day and driving here, but they had that done too
by the time Cassie got home from her English class.
Michael, Aiden, and I had another picnic
dinner on campus with Cassie and her study buddies – and that break from all of
the work around the townhouses, but even the work was fun – and that was a
surprise that we got to spring on Cassie when she got home and found out that
she’d be spending the last two weeks of her summer school time in her ‘new’
townhome. Let’s not discuss why both
sets of teen couples were very happy with that change; since the alternative
with Aiden and me here too might have been another couple of days of boys’ and
girls’ townhomes – or not.
Adding in the early morning, travel time,
and work; it’s no surprise that Aiden and I are tired and ready to crash. We’ll do that as soon as we’re ready for bed,
and it’s nearly time for me to take my turn grabbing a shower; so I guess that’s
it for tonight.
Oh wait – I’ll also add that the work today
means that we get to spend the day at Eagle Gorge tomorrow – and Rowen and Tim
get to go along for that adventure too; so they’re very happy with that part of
the changed plan. Cassie can’t go with
us, but we have some fun planned with her for dinner; and there isn’t much we
can do about that when she can’t miss out on her last week of classes ahead of
final exams – or the studying to get ready for those final tests.
Okay, that’s it; I’m going to go hit the
shower; and then crash for the rest of the night.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
Okay, maybe Naomi and I have had a
more-exciting day than Ethan and Aiden did – or at least more fun and less
work. My friends might not entirely
agree with that if they know what I actually did at the lab, but I only played
there for the morning; and then Naomi and I spent the afternoon playing with
our friends. That wasn’t always fun,
since Miles and Joshua are worse when they don’t have Ethan and Aiden around to
keep them from acting before thinking, but we – the girls – avoided them when
possible; and managed to have fun with our biking, play time, and swimming most
of the time with just cameo moments of annoyances.
Naomi is home tonight because her Mom
misses her, and Mom and I are enjoying a girls’ night for two at home that
included pizzeria dinner, a walk with Silkie, a movie, and then separate soaks
in our Jacuzzis. I’m going to be
cuddling with Mom and the pets tonight too; so that’s all I have for
tonight. Naomi and I won’t get to have
as much fun as Ethan and Aiden tomorrow while they’re at Eagle Gorge, but we do
have a girls-only birthday party to attend for Jennifer Byrd; so that’ll be fun
– especially if Miles and Joshua don’t try to get their buddies to crash it and
annoy us. I’ll let you know how that
goes, but it’s time for me to wrap this up and move on to the cuddle and nap time
with Mom, Silkie, and Mandy.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
