Ethan:
Tai Chi in the back yard of Cassie and
Michael’s townhouse was fun – if a bit different when we had an audience of
neighbors checking out our workout – at least in part because Aiden and I were
there with Cassie and Michael. We
followed that up with a pancakes breakfast; Michael, Aiden, and I took Cassie
to the college; and then we headed for Eagle Gorge. Rowen and Tim met us out there because Tim
needed to drive his car instead of going with us. Our extreme adventures included rock
climbing, trail rides on rented bikes, and a lot of water play time. We’d heard all about Michael’s issues with
girls checking him out when he was there with Ehlana and Naomi, but while he
got noticed; it was likely Rowen’s presence that kept him from being hit on –
even when we were swimming. That’s
likely for the best, since Michael will be married in about a week and a half;
but Ehlana and Naomi had Aiden and I prepared had we needed to intervene. ;^)
Okay, that wasn’t anything extreme or
Magi-powered; but let’s not have facts get in the way of the verbal fun.
We didn’t stay at Eagle Gorge as long as
they did when Ehlana and Naomi were here, but we had to get Cassie from school;
get cleaned up; and head out to dinner with a few of Cassie’s study mates, two
husbands, and Tonya’s kids. The early
end to that part of our play day was worth it, since Anthony’s Pizzeria has
awesome food – and Aiden and I could ignore the drama going on between Chloe
and the owner and his family. That wasn’t
a bad thing – just a wish that Chloe would marry their son. That won’t happen; I don’t need to cover the
details; and let’s also skip the jokes about Chloe and Cassie having that in
common because Cassie is marrying Michael because of the great food at the Inn.
Moving along, we headed back to the townhouses
after dinner; Cassie and her friends got busy with the studying; and we – the guys
– had some park play time while Rowen went for a bike ride and some park play
time with Tonya’s daughter, Lysa, before they went to hang out with the girls
and Michael and Tim kept Aiden, Joss, and me entertained with video gaming in
the other townhouse so we wouldn’t bother the girls.
Cassie needs to study and work late, but when
our guests left, we did a bedtime chat; and now Aiden and I are getting ready
for bed. It’s been a long, awesome day;
we’re tired; and it’s time to get some sleep – so I will.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
My news of the day from here at home is
that Naomi and I went to Jennifer Byrd’s girls-only birthday party – though there
were adult guys and a couple of brothers there for dinner. I’m also staying with Naomi tonight; we’re
camping in her back yard; and Mom got talked into a quick, overnight trip to
the city that will include some wedding-related shopping; spending the night at
the hotel with Dad; and then heading back here again tomorrow.
I also played at the lab this morning;
Jennifer’s party was a blast; and Naomi and I have only had a few problems with
Zack and Eli as they’ve hooked up to try and scare and prank us a half-dozen
times since we set up the tent and have been hanging out in the back yard since
then. Zack is with Eli tonight too – a fact
that Aunt Leanne is likely enjoying nearly as much as Brianna is; and the boys
are bound to get bored or distracted from bugging us eventually.
Our day may not have been as fun as Ethan
and Aiden’s day at Eagle Gorge, but it has been really good; I’m very happy to
know that Ethan will be home again tomorrow; and it’s even better to be down to
a week and a half to Cassie and Michael’s wedding – even if Cassie will only be
home for about a day before being gone again on her honeymoon!
There’s no point in trying to go to sleep
yet before Zack and Eli get around to leaving us alone, but that’s all I have
for you tonight, so I’ll get back to having fun with my best friend until we
can eventually crash and get some sleep.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
