Ethan:
The campfire and camping last night was
fun; breakfast was an adventure and occasionally-weird; and then we had some
chores to do that included cleaning up the back yard before moving on to a
no-plans play day. That’s been a lot
like our day on Tuesday with biking, park play time, swimming, and short canoe
rides; so the only difference is that we didn’t have any baseball
practices. I should have mentioned the
co-ed ball practice last night too; though that was really just more park play
and biking for me; since that’s what the guys wanted to do instead of watching
the parents play baseball.
We had another family and friends barbeque
dinner tonight; and then it’s been quiet here since then because the visiting
cousins are doing sleepovers elsewhere.
Mom took the opportunity for a Magi lesson with Ehlana and me; we’re all
heading to bed early because tomorrow will be the last big adventure day of the
holidays for us with a Ridge River Ranch adventure and the big camping night of
the week with all of our cousins and friends – including the younger cousins
and some of their friends.
I’m getting tired just thinking about
trying to help out – and keep up with – Zack, Eli, and some of the other guys;
so I’m going to wrap this up; read from the archives for a while; and then get
some sleep.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
I love my Jacuzzi! ;^)
We’re continuing to have an awesome play
week; I’m loving all of the fun we’re having with our family and friends; and
Ethan’s covered enough of the news that I don’t really need to do much more.
I do need to add that Jaimie and Kaitlyn
are having more fun than they expected this week with Jeremy and Micah, but
then Ethan and Naomi were very cozy at the campfire last night; and a goodnight
hug and kiss or two might have been involved in their time together before we
split up for the night in our respective tents.
We – the girls – had a dozen or two moments today when we needed some
time away from the boys – or wished that was an option, but Ethan and Aiden do
what they can to make that easier for us; so we’re going to keep them – even when
we want to get rid of the most-annoying boys.
That is one difference for our cousins’
vacation this year – Jaimie, Kaitlyn, and Kara are much-happier with the boys
their age – even when they agree with us when it comes to Zack, Eli, Miles,
Joshua, and some of the other younger guys that have been trying to show off in
all of the wrong ways – at least from our perspective.
Okay, that’s it for me. I still have some time available for the
Jacuzzi fun before I’ll need to get out and ready for bed; so I’m going to get
back to that – and then maybe do some bedtime reading too; since I am missing
out on the work and fun at the lab this week.
I’ll still pick the fun – and then try to spend some extra time in the
lab next week.

from what is now my past!
