Ethan:
Happy 5th Anniversary, Uncle
Mark and Aunt Grace!
Happy 5th Anniversary for
Dating, Cassie and Michael!
The anniversary party at Uncle Adam and
Aunt Leanne’s house is the top family news of the day, and everyone had fun
with Uncle Mark and Aunt Grace, but the roasting was not usually kid-friendly;
and Ehlana and I spent most of our time with our friends and younger cousins
while we were there from mid-afternoon until the happy couple of honor were
sent off on their anniversary weekend getaway – without their kids.
Ehlana and I did have some play time at the
lab this morning and some fun with our friends after lunch too, but then we
helped out with the party set-up in the back yard; kept our cousins entertained
so that they needed minimum parental supervision; and then we were with the
kids for dinner to while the adults of all ages were hanging out together. Cassie isn’t quite one of those adults – at least
not officially; so she helped out with the youngest kids at dinner too – and sat
with us for the meal before going back to work again for the clean-up with we
got to eat, run, and play.
Sometimes, being a kid does have advantages
– even for Magi Masters!
We have a busy weekend ahead, so while
Cassie went out to meet up with Michael after work for another pizza snack and
chat time with their friends; Mom and Dad brought Ehlana and me home after the
party and we’ve pretty much just gotten ready for bed and will all be going off
to sleep early. There will be work
involved too, but we’ll have cousins here tomorrow night while Brianna’s having
her friends over for her birthday sleepover ahead of her birthday instead of on
Sunday night; and then we’ll be partying with her on Sunday – at Quarry
Lake! That’s going to be amazing – even with
a small gang of two and three-year-old girls around; so I’m sure that we’ll
have a blast while we’re there all afternoon on Sunday.
There is lots of other news going on around
here – especially with the campgrounds full for the holiday week, but I’m too
young for reporting on some of the adult-rated stories – like anniversary
getaways; so I’ll leave that sort of thing for you to find elsewhere in the
archives.
Note to me – don’t start linking and
cross-referencing the archives for that sort of thing until I’m an adult! I love to read a lot; but some Magi journals
are not kid-rated reading!
Suddenly, I’m very sleepy – and that
absolutely is a change of topic so that I won’t take those mental pictures into
dreamland with me tonight! I really don’t
have anything to add; so that’s all for tonight.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
Anniversaries can be so romantic! The majority of the male-half of the kid
population here would tell you that parental-unit romance is gross, but the
girls all love it – at least for a few more years. Most teens get weird about that too, but then
I just think that’s weird in turn; since I doubt that any of them would hope
that romance in their lives would be over and done with by the time they were
in their mid-twenties or early-thirties!
Uncle Mark and Aunt Grace’s 5th
Anniversary, and the dinner party we threw for them tonight, is the reason for
why my thoughts are going there tonight.
Their weekend getaway without kids will hopefully be romantic for them;
and I hope that they have fun while they’re away. No details will be expected, but we’ll know
whether they enjoyed their trip or not by how much they don’t have to tell us
kids about what they end up doing this weekend!
My news for today really isn’t that
exciting. We had a good morning at home;
went to the lab to play until lunchtime; had a bit of play time with our
friends after that; and then helped with the party set-up and Uncle Adam and
Aunt Leanne’s house before enjoying the kid-side of the party. Mom and Dad brought us home after that; and
now we’re all pretty much ready for bed and it’s time for me to get some
sleep. We have a work day booked
tomorrow; some cousins here for a sleepover tomorrow night; and Brianna’s
birthday on Sunday. I’m getting tired
just thinking about all of that; so I’d better rest up so that I can keep up
with everything – especially since we may have a late night tomorrow with Zack
and Caleb here for the night.
We have had a really nice family and
friends day; so I’m looking forward to even more of that kind of fun this
weekend – even when we’re working.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
