Naomi's Journal - January 11, 2021

I’m going to bed early tonight because we stayed up too-late last night with Cassie and Michael after having fun with them for a lot of the time since they got home yesterday.  Dinner at the Inn was awesome – and I miss doing that as often as normal.  We had to share Cassie and Michael with his family too, but got to hear all of their travel stories – or at least all of the kid-rated news – by the time we crashed for the night.  Cassie and Michael had a bedtime side-trip visit with Stephanie and Sierra last night; and were then with us through until the start of our co-ed sofa sleepover in the lounge.

We’ve been busy today too – starting with a chilly Tai Chi by the river; a hot breakfast; and then a busy home study day that Cassie and Michael helped out with so that we could get finished our work early – and that was true for even the least-enthusiastic students in our home study group.  Sure, that’s only an act for Zack and Eli; and they just don’t tell their buddies that they are two of the best students in their year.  Getting our assignments finished early allowed us to go out and play for the rest of the afternoon.  Cassie and Michael came along for the biking and playground adventures; we shared them with our younger siblings, cousins, and friends; and had a blast together.  It didn’t really get all that warm today, but we bundled up; kept active; and had our snack break funded by Cassie and Michael – hot chocolate from the Inn and bakery treats that we enjoyed back at the park on benches near the falls.

Cassie and Michael had plans with friends and his family for dinner and the rest of the night; so I came home in time for dinner – and helped Dad with some of the cooking before Mom got home from the salon.  Eli and I had a Magi lesson tonight, but then I had a long soak in the tub; and now I really am ready to get some sleep.

My wrap-up thoughts about Ethan tonight are because of our afternoon play time.  Miles and some of our other friends would likely disagree with me, but Ethan is the best athlete within at least a couple of years of our age.  He doesn’t show that off even when he does things that are impressive; so it is no surprise that he doesn’t get the same attention as Miles, Joshua, and others; and I should be okay with that non-secret.  He still gets too-much attention from other girls, so while his physical attributes are a great bonus for me; I’m not really interested in the idea of that being true for anyone else!  I’m going to move on and hopefully have fun with some dreams that include Ethan in a starring role; so I’m out of here!

The future Mrs. Naomi (Seager) Proctor – if Ethan knows what’s good for him!
