Christmas Video of the Day!
We love the Santa Paws movies; so here’s
one of the songs from one of those shows.
Ethan:
Cassie was back to full power again this
morning; and that was thanks to Michael – and Ehlana’s suggestion for the
empathic cocoon that he used to help her to recover so quickly from her overuse
of Magi power and injuries. We do not
want any details for why they were both smiling so brilliantly during our
vid-chat this morning; and I’m not going to offer any ammunition that can be
used against Naomi and me in the future – at least for today.
While Cassie got back to taking her final
exams; our day returned to normal again too.
Ehlana and I went to school; had a fun day; and then went to play at the
lab and archives until dinnertime. Mom was
busy today for part of the time dealing with micro meetings with certain
parents, one grandmother, and members of the Magi Council to pass along the
news from yesterday; and she’s been keeping an eye on things at Hathorne
Industries too – though whatever Gwyneth’s been doing with her goon squad; it
isn’t going directly through the company.
Other than some first names, we don’t know
anything about those hired guns, but Ehlana and I expect that once they find
out that their targets survived their attack and attempt to blow them up; they’ll
be back for more.
Bad guys are just like that.
We’ve had a quiet night at home since
getting back from the lab. The shopping
trip and problems with Cassie messed up the work schedule for Mom and Dad; so
we worked in the office; and used a time phase for most of that work and
studying. That’s why we’ll be able to be
sleeping comparatively-early tonight, and that’s all I have for tonight; so I’m
going to get to that napping part of my day.

What Ethan said; and I’ll only add that
Cassie added more information about what happened while talking with us this
morning; and that just made the total of everything she did even
more-impressive. It’s a good thing that
it wasn’t me doing that instead; or I’d have needed a nap before we got half-way
to the fourth floor; and we’d have been in big trouble when it came time to try
and escape before the big explosion!
I really should be freaked out by all of
that, but I’m not; and Ethan and I still think that all of those cool
Magi-powered tricks were awesome!
There are good reasons for why Cassie is
meant to be one of the leaders for the Ascension of the Light; and it’s
becoming clear that her talents for dealing with bad guys is one of those reasons.
Okay, that’s enough for tonight. I need to catch up on my sleep too, and can’t
do that with an empathic cocoon; so I’ll go with the normal night of sleep and
be glad that we’re one day closer to having Cassie home for the holidays!
