Happy 18th Birthday,
Martin! Happy 2nd Birthday,
Marcus!
Having a birthday on the last day of school
ahead of Spring Break is cool; though I didn’t have anything to do with either
birthday beyond sending gifts. Martin
was partying with his friends tonight, so there wasn’t a family party there,
but Mom and Dad were invited to Marcus’ party; and headed for Crystal Springs
this afternoon with the twins to go and have some fun with the Malloys.
I had to work at the Inn tonight, so that
wasn’t an option for me anyway; but that just made the decision to leave early
instead of after work easier for Dad. He
worked until one or so; and then Mom, Ethan, and Ehlana picked him up and they
hit the road for the city while I was stuck in my afternoon classes. That wasn’t exactly tough on me, since we
pretty much just played today anyway while getting our holiday homework
assignments; but I do miss the family and friends fun when other
responsibilities get in the way.
We had a busy dinner rush thanks to the
start of the annual school holiday; so I didn’t have time to think much about
what I was missing out on while working.
Miranda, Rebecca, Jenny, and I had fun working the dining room, though;
and I really do like working as a server a lot more than the dishwashing in the
kitchen! That’s something that I mention
a bit too often in my journal, but I don’t really talk about it anywhere else;
and only mention it here for the historical information that future Magi might
relate to – especially if they have – or someday will – work at the Inn as
teens! ;^)
While we had a good evening, I’m tired now
after working until close. Michael came
home with me while his parents went home and Lucas picked up Rebecca to go out
to the farm for the night; so I’m thinking about keeping Michael for a sofa
sleepover – strictly to help his parents out with a kid-free night.
Okay, I am going to keep Michael for the
night, but you don’t have to worry about us; since I’ll likely fall asleep on
him anyway – even though we’ll be on our own for a while longer before Mom and
Dad get home with the twins from the city and Marcus’ birthday party.
That’s why this update is coming to you
early – because I’m writing it while getting changed and freshened up ahead of
the movie and cuddle time that will end up with that sofa sleepover. Michael is getting the snacks and drinks
ready, and I want to get to doing that with him; so I’m going to wrap this up
and get back to my life in the real world.
Maybe I’ll even try a bit of self-healing
and a time phase so that having a fairly-serious make-out session is an option
before that sofa sleepover!
Did I write that out loud? Oops! ;^)
Gotta go now; so, until next time...
...May the Magi Force be with you!
