Ehlana and Ethan:
We’ve had a really awesome day, but don’t
have any major news because all of the fun was of the everyday, normal variety.
Getting to be by the river and outdoors for
Tai Chi on March First was unusual; and a great way to start the day and month –
all thanks the temperature still being around fifty overnight. Even after all of the pancakes and syrup
yesterday, we still had more of both for breakfast again today. Our morning at church and Sunday school was
fun but quiet as we head toward Easter; and then we had grilled food and sides
at lunch that was with the Carringtons – again thanks to the nice weather that
allowed the Dads to fire up the barbeques and not freeze while trying to cook.
The top entertainment of the day was our
afternoon biking and park play; and that was especially-awesome as the
temperature topped out at near-seventy degrees.
We had a lot of company at the park and around town as it seemed that
everyone went out to enjoy the great weather – including Mom, Dad, and most of
our favorite parents, cousins, and friends.
We biked the trail around town with a gang that included eight parents
and twelve kids; took a break for some playground fun that helped to entertain
our younger cousins; and then biked the park trails with a gang of our
friends. There was a snack break at the
park; and we eventually headed home in time to get cleaned up, make dinner, and
then get to work in the office for the evening.
Our ‘real’ studies for college were mixed
in with a Magi lesson while Mom and Dad worked; Mom used a time phase to help
us to get everything on our to-do lists finished; and then we had a twin music
practice before getting around to the bedtime chat that we’re still doing along
with writing this update. We hadn’t
planned on continuing doing these reports together, but we seem to be in a
bedtime trend that we like a lot right now; so there will likely be more of
them to come in the near-future.
Finally, we’re overdue for another update
about Cassie and Michael – mostly because there isn’t much to report for them. They’re getting even more-focused on their
mid-terms, and while the extreme effort they’re putting into that is more for
their friends than themselves; the bottom line is that they’re still busy day
and night with that work and studying – except for the parts of their lives
that we don’t hear anything about at all.
They’re doing brilliantly at school and enjoying married life, and while
their experiences there are very different from home; the hard work would be
exactly the same if they were here instead.
We still miss them a lot, but those mid-term exams are something we can
work with as part of our countdown to their Spring Break; and we are really
looking forward to having them home for a visit!
Okay, that’s all for tonight. We’re going to wrap this up and go get some
sleep now. Let’s hope that March will
include a lot more of the warm weather instead of weeks more of winter, but
either way; we’re really excited for everything we already know about that we
have coming up – including the college breaks and our own March Break. Stay tuned – or flip the digital pages to
read on whenever you’re doing this in our future; and we’ll let you know how
that goes for us as we live through the next few weeks!
