Ehlana and Ethan:
We had an awesome night at Naomi’s house –
and one of us is not just saying that because of a co-ed sofa sleepover! The bad news is that Naomi’s Dad vetoed that
plan, but even though we went to sleep last night in four sleeping bags; Naomi
magically ended up in Ethan’s sleeping bag by morning – and about five minutes
after her parents did their last ‘surprise’ check on us before going to bed
too.
There are some advantages to having junior
Magi Masters for best friends! ;^)
As stated already, we had fun last
night. That started with dinner that
included pizzeria pizza; we moved on to movies and video games; and Naomi and I
signed up for the mini-makeovers her Mom did with us while the boys played the
games without us for an hour. We loved
that girl-chat time a lot too; though Naomi will still put the co-ed sleeping
bag part of her night in first place on the fun list. Ethan would too, but he’s a guy; and can’t
admit that to anyone else.
We’ve had a rain day today, which is too
bad; since it also got a lot warmer – and that isn’t going to stick around for
much longer before cooling down again.
Tai Chi for four was indoors; we had breakfast; and then Naomi and Aiden
went to the lab and archives with us for the morning – after a visit home with
Cassie, Michael, and May before they got started on their vid-lectures. We played with our toys or books until
lunchtime; went home to have that meal with Mom, Aunt Leanne, Zack, Brianna,
and our favorite collegians – a meal that included fast food from the city and
another pizzeria pizza.
Mom had fun while away; though few details
were provided to the kids in the room – and we’re okay with that lack of
information about our parents. The rain
didn’t let up this afternoon, but Naomi and Aiden each picked or were drafted
for doing other things; so we were on our own for the return to the lab or
archives. We stayed there and played
until going home for a late dinner with Mom and May. Cassie and Michael had dinner with Jake and
Stephanie instead; but came home early to do more studying in the office with
May while Mom started catching up on her work and we did our ‘homework’ in the
lounge so that we could do our ‘real’ work while May wasn’t around us.
That doesn’t add up to an amazing holiday
adventure, but we had fun with the work and research anyway; and that’s better
than hanging around and doing nothing when playing outdoors isn’t an
option. It’s time to wrap this up and
get some sleep; so that’s all for tonight; and we’ll be back again tomorrow
with the next installment of our March Break adventures report.
