Ehlana and Ethan:
The top news of the day for us is that
Cassie and Michael will be coming home after exams are done tomorrow. They’ll bring May with them; and they will be
here for at least two weeks. Their
classes will be online for next week, and then they’ll have their Spring Break
after that; and then find out whether the online learning will continue beyond
that or resume in-person classes after that.
You can guess how happy we are that they’ll be home for our break from
school – even if they have to talk those online classes while here. We’re half-hoping that our school will get
closed for two weeks or more too! ;^)
Compared to that news; our day has been
uneventful. We had a good start to the
day with Tai Chi by the river; our school entertainment included the last tests
of the week along with finishing pretty much all of our work for the study
modules we needed to finish up heading into the break; and then the nice
weather had us skipping the lab or archives time in favor of biking and playing
with our friends. We should have worked
instead, but we’re actually going to get a cool-down into the weekend. The play time was great, though; so we’ll
just work in extra lab time into our schedule next week. We had dinner with Mom and Dad at home;
headed to the Inn for game night after that; and didn’t have much of a turnout –
even though this might prove to be the lightest travel holiday for our friends
and neighbors in ten years or more. Not
everyone is cancelling their vacations, but some have; and others are scaling
back to more-local trips and entertainment.
The gaming was still fun, but wrapped up
early; so we got home and onto our studies after that – with the Magi lesson
being a long one now that we’ll have company here for the next two weeks and
won’t be able to do that very often. Mom
used a time phase to help us with getting more done; so we’re also really tired
now too and ready to get some sleep.
That’s all we have for today, though, so wrapping this up and moving on
to nap time is an option that we’ll get to right now. Stay tuned – the next week may prove to be
even better than we hoped!
