Happy 19th Birthday, Martin!
Happy 3rd Birthday, Marcus!
Martin is away at college; celebrating his
special day with Chris, their girlfriends, and the rest of their college
buddies. Marcus had a party with family
and friends – including our family; since we came to Crystal Springs to join in
on that celebration; and we’re spending the night here before heading home in
the morning – though Dad will be staying for his week in the city.
I’m going to keep this update short because
Michael and I are babysitting the twins in our ‘kids’ room while Mom and Dad
are in Dad’s usual room down the hall; and we’re going to watch a movie before
getting around to the sleeping part of our night.
So, here’s the quick version of my
day. Michael and I had a sofa sleepover
last night; we worked the breakfast shift at the Inn; Mom and Dad brought the
twins to the Inn and had breakfast there after dealing with some chores at
home; and then we hit the road for Crystal Springs. Miranda gave Michael the rest of the day off
so he could come along; but we’ll need to be back in time for the lunch shift
tomorrow. We got to Crystal Springs by
around noon; had lunch at the food court in our favorite mall; and then we
picked up gifts for Marcus that Angela suggested would work with other gifts he
was about to be given at his party. We
headed over to their house from the mall; spent the rest of the day there; and
then headed to the hotel after dinner – and after Marcus crashed into nap mode
for the night.
I’m writing this while Michael’s getting
ready for bed and the twins are out of the room and saying goodnight to Mom and
Dad. They’ll be back any minute – or I
might have opted to have a bit of play time with Michael; so I need to wrap
this up and get back to our play day.
The details are missing, but it’s really the overall fun and happy
moments with my family and our friends that is important – not the what we were
doing today; and that’s what I really hope will be remembered in my journal –
that regardless of what we’re doing; it’s the love and joy that really matters
most!
Of course, some quality cuddle time while
watching a movie is pretty good too, and I’m ready to get to that next; so, until
next time...
...May the Magi Force be with you!
