Happy 33rd Birthday, Aunt Grace!
Happy 1st Birthday, Lauren
Bishop!
I really feel out of the fun loop today;
since I’ve needed to stay focused on my exams and have almost nothing at all to
do with the birthday fun around here – or with Michael’s family. He didn’t have much to do with his cousin’s
first birthday either; but did have a morning video chat with them – and with
Rebecca – before school this morning. We
sent Lauren a couple of gifts too; but haven’t heard whether Lauren liked them
or not yet. I only had a cameo visit
with Aunt Grace too; and missed out on the birthday dinner that Mom and Aunt
Leanne put on for her at the Carrington house while I was busy with my studying
here.
Since Mom was busy with that; our dinner
here was self-serve subs, cold salads, and snacks; and I took care of the
clean-up too. That was just one
different blast of work between the exams we wrote today and the last exams we
studied for tonight. Tomorrow isn’t the
easiest exam day, but we only have Chemistry and Phys-Ed; so the worst will be
over once the Chemistry exam is done and out of the way. Getting ready for that – or at least helping
my classmates to do that – was the main reason we worked until midnight again
tonight instead of wrapping up earlier, but I’ve done what I can to help
everyone; so we’ll hope for the best tomorrow.
Thanks to another hours-long study and work
session after coming up to bed for the night; ‘tomorrow’ will be starting for
me in a couple of hours; so I need to crash and nap again. We’re almost done now, though; and we’ll
basically get to play next week as we wrap up the school year. That sounds great, but we’ll trade the hours
of school time every day for our summer jobs after that; and Michael, Rowen,
and Tim will all be putting in extra time this summer to save up for college;
so we’re pretty much done with long lazy days with nothing to do but play and
have fun while we’re free of school until September. That’s not something I want to think about
right now, though, and I really do need to get to sleep; so, until next time...
...May the Magi Force be with you!
