I have to get outside and join the campfire
in progress; so let’s keep this short and I’ll do and update and a half
tomorrow night.
Michael, Tim, Rowen, and I are babysitting
a gang of kids this weekend while their parents – including mine – are spending
the weekend nights at the Inn. They are
the first ‘official’ guests; and most of the couples ‘won’ the weekend
adventure. We’re camping here tonight
because we can; though we did have a minor thunderstorm roll through town
around dinnertime. That was while
Michael and I were working at the Inn and while Mom and Dad were still in
charge of the twins, Naomi, and Aiden; so it didn’t get in the way of any of
the kid fun.
Michael and I did help with some quick tent
set-ups after school, but then we needed to get to the Inn; worked the full
shift to close; and Rowen and Tim were in charge of the babysitting when Mom
and Dad headed to the Inn for their weekend getaway that doesn’t really have
them going anywhere. We – the ‘senior’
babysitters have lots of help with the younger kids because we have other teens
and tweens hanging out here for the camping adventure too – including Patrick
and Jessica. I won’t go down the entire
list; but we have more than fifty teens and kids in the back yard right now;
and most of them are here for the camping too.
I’ll write about all of that next time; so let’s just wrap this up and I’ll
get out there and join in on the campfire fun.
It’s mostly been an awesome weather day
except for that little thunderstorm; we had a good morning at home; our last
study day for exams at school; and I’ve covered the tent set-up and work thing –
though not in any real detail. We didn’t
study tonight because of the work, but we’ll get back to that tomorrow – when we
can fit that in around baseball and work.
For opening weekend, Ehlana’s team and mine are both playing; so we have
games in the morning and evening. I’ll
be working the breakfast buffet at the Inn – and it will be another buffet
because of the full house of guests they have this weekend. That works for me; since we’ll have our
camping gang go there for breakfast too and I’ll leave the twins with Mom and
Dad while I work.
We’ll have chores to fit into our day too,
but I can write about all of that tomorrow night too instead of dragging this
update out any further. It’s been an
awesome day, and is sure to get better now that Michael and I can have some fun
with our families and friends; so I’m out of here to go and do that!
Until next time...
...May the Magi Force be with you!
