Weather is the top news story of the day
around here; and I don’t think that Mother Nature is as funny as she might
think she is when teasing us with near-eighty-degree warmth two days ago and
then giving us sub-freezing temperatures and some light snow today!
That was a good reason for spending the day
indoors, but I won’t suggest that a full day of school followed by a
dinner-to-close shift at the Inn is the most fun that can be had with an
indoors-weather kind of day. The movie
and cuddle time that Michael and I had after work was nice, but we did that at
his house; and only stayed together for that one movie because we’re working
the breakfast shift too before we head out to Maple Valley for the winter
festival. Getting to sleep was high on
my to-do list when I got changed and into bed after getting home, but some
family business work came up that I didn’t want to leave until Sunday night; so
I’ve dealt with that before getting to this report. That’s cost me an hour or so of sleep, but
the delay would have been much more expensive; and I’m glad that’s done and out
of the way.
The work wasn’t exciting or newsworthy,
though, and I really am ready to just crash and nap now; so, until next time –
when the Maple Valley Winterfest report should be far more interesting...
...May the Magi Force be with you!
