Ethan:
It’s football night; we had a home game;
and our team earned the win – possibly so they’d have more fun at the Halloween
dance at the school that followed the game.
We’re a bit young for the school dances, but it was nice out tonight; so
we went to the game as part of our dinner and a movie night – or at least some
of us did while others opted for the movie at Uncle Adam and Aunt Leanne’s
house. Football just isn’t the same
without Michael and Tim playing on the team while Cassie and Rowen cheer them
on, but life goes on here without them; and we’ll try to keep supporting our
team – even if we don’t do that as often as we did while Cassie was at school
too.
The rest of our day has been quiet, but
Naomi and Aiden are staying for a sleepover, and we’re starting with a
Halloween movie or two; so I need to wrap this up and get on with the rest of
our fun tonight. Halloween will be a big
part of our weekend with the Haunted Halloween Walk tomorrow too; so the teens
and tweens around here won’t be the only kids having fun – even if that won’t
include dancing and other teen entertainment for us.
Halloween movies and some cuddle time will
be scary-enough for me tonight, though, and I really do need to get to that
now; so that’s all I have for tonight.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
I’m tempted to spend some quality time on
my side of this update just because Ethan seems to be in a hurry to get to the
movies and cuddle time with Naomi, but then she’d just go on without me once
she’s ready; so I won’t do that.
While Ethan led with the football comment,
I can admit that it wasn’t my favorite part of the day – even with the win
instead of another loss on the season. I
am not picking on our team. Our school
sports program is good, and we have our share of decent athletes, but we’re
also one of the smallest schools; and the norm is to be behind the bigger
schools. The hang-out time tonight will
be a highlight that I can write about in the next report. Our family dinner was great, and while Ethan
didn’t mention it; the biking and play time at the park with our friends after
school was a lot of fun too. We won’t
get to bike the trails for much longer; so every chance we get to do that
before winter is a bonus that I’m going to enjoy before we’ll put the bikes
away until spring.
Naomi’s apparently in a hurry to get to the
cuddle time with Ethan, since she’s ready to go; so I guess that’s it for this
update.
Ethan will not need Bette Midler to put a
spell on him in Hocus Pocus – Naomi’s got that covered! ;^)
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
