Ethan:
Tai Chi by the river was followed by a
quiet breakfast because Cassie was at Michael’s house for that meal. We got to spend some more time with them for
the chilly walk to church and during the first part of the service before
Sunday school, but then Pastor John had a long service; so we only spent a bit
of time with Cassie and Michael after that before they headed for the Inn to
help out there for a couple of hours – and spend more time with his
family. We went to the park to play
while they were busy; they joined us after their time at the Inn and a short
visit to the pizzeria; and played with us for an hour before going home and
meeting up with Rowen and Tim for the drive back to their college home.
We had cousins, aunts, and uncles with us
for that last round of goodbyes; and then Ehlana and I went back to the park
for a while longer until dinnertime to get in on one last round of rides before
coming home again in time for dinner – at the same time that Naomi and Aiden
went home too. The rest of our night has
been quiet as we had that meal and then a quiet work and study evening in the
office as Dad finished getting ready for his trip to the city. Mom used a time phase to help us get done
early; bath time followed for Ehlana and me; and now I’m ready to crash and nap
– especially since we’ll want to get up early to see Dad off on his trip to
Crystal Springs.
That’s it for today – and for the fall
festival, but the fall fun is still going to roll along as we head toward
Halloween. We have the Haunted Walk and
all of the Halloween fun at school to look forward to; and that’s sure to kick
up a notch or three starting tomorrow.
Ehlana will want to get back to her lab tomorrow too; so I expect to
spend lots of time in my archives next week too – which is okay with Mom during
the weeks when Dad is away anyway. I
really am ready to sleep now, though; so let’s just wrap this up and I’ll go
and do that starting right now.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
Let’s go with Ethan’s report with just one
addition.
Grandma and Grandpa are still traveling to
Indonesia and Thailand as I write this.
They left early this morning; and will be gone for six weeks. Ethan didn’t mention it because their travels
have just been part of our lives since we were born, and while we do miss them
when they’re gone; we are also glad that they get to travel the world and enjoy
their retirement – especially when they’re also doing so much for our charities
and family businesses in exchange for the free travel and paid holidays! I hope they have a safe trip and have lots of
fun along with the work.
While I’m thinking about things we take for
granted and actually don’t think about much; I should add one more bit of
bleated news to our journals.
Happy 5th Birthday, Zack!
Yes, it was on Friday, and we should have
included that news in our report, but to be honest; we just didn’t have much
involvement in his special day because of being at the festival. His birthday dinner was at the park; he was with
his friends most of that time; and that was true for the rest of the day too –
just as Ethan and I were with Naomi, Aiden, and our friends most of the
time. Zack also had Eli with him for a
sleepover on Friday night, but we weren’t involved in that part of his birthday
fun either – though Cassie and Michael did go over to his house after getting
home to give Zack their gift instead of waiting to do that on Saturday.
Okay, that’s it for me too; I’m off to get
some sleep; and you can stay tuned for the ongoing adventures we’ll be having
as we head toward Halloween during the second-half of the month.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
