Ethan:
Our first day of the fall festival was
great for everything except the chilly fall weather. Getting the day off from school to be at the
park and festival was awesome, and we had fun going on the rides, playing the games,
and enjoying the rest of the entertainment; so I won’t complain about it being
a bit too cold today.
Ehlana and I played with Naomi, Aiden, and
the rest of our friends through until we traded teacher and volunteer
supervision for parental support; and then Naomi and Aiden stayed with us – and
with Mom, Aunt Leanne, and some of the other family parents while we continued
to play at the festival. We had more
parents and cousins join in after work and through dinnertime; stayed at the
park until shortly before Cassie and Michael got home; and then we’ve been home
since then because they didn’t want to go over to the park for the dance or
other entertainment after a long day at school and drive home.
We had some chat time with the parents;
Michael’s gone home now; and Cassie has Ehlana and Naomi with her – and Mandy –
for a bedtime girl chat that will likely turn into a sleepover together
too. Aiden and I are in bed now; we’re
going to play some video games; and then get some sleep so we’re ready for Day
Two of the festival tomorrow.
That doesn’t add up to much of a report,
but we do have a busy weekend planned, and I do want to get to the sleeping
part of my day sooner than later; so that’s all I have for tonight.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
Cassie’s already fallen asleep, which is
funny; since she apparently did that last night too – while cuddled on a sofa
with Michael and ended up having an unintentional sofa sleepover. She’s amazing, but even Magi Masters get
tired out eventually; and she’s had a busy week. Maybe asking her to come home was asking too
much, but I’m still glad she’s here; and that we’ll get to spend this time with
her instead of having to wait until Thanksgiving to see her again.
Ethan covered the basics for our day at the
festival, if not any of the fun details.
I’ll add that it was cold-enough this morning that the boys are lucky
that we love them so much because we froze going on those rides this
morning. They made up for that by
helping us win some prizes; and we had fun with the shows and checking out the
various competition pavilions. I loved
the family time later this afternoon and evening the most; and that is going to
be the best part of the rest of the weekend too.
Naomi and I need to get some sleep to be ready
for that, though; so that’s all I have for tonight too.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
