Ehlana and Ethan:
Our top news of the day is that Cassie and Michael are on the way to Georgia – the country; not the State – and they are ready for the work they’ll be doing in Russia. We are not worried about them being there, since they do have the ability to protect themselves if needed, but then their biggest risks are actually from our own government; since they’ll get too-much attention simply for going to Russia to work with our charities and partnering with local businesses. That, by the way, is more-challenging thanks to all of the sanctions against Russia, and that is true even when we’re trying to help all of the displaced Ukrainians living in Russia because of the fighting in Ukraine. We aren’t going to get into any rants tonight; so let’s move on to our own news of the day; since this is just a very long couple of travel days for Cassie and Michael; and they won’t have any work news for us until Wednesday anyway.
We had a happy day at school that included sharing holiday stories with our friends and the rest of the usual gossip. There was some warm to go along with the thunderstorms today, so some outdoor time was an option while at school, but the risk of rain and storms this afternoon had us choosing to work at the lab instead of playing with our friends; and we were happy to get back to our work at the lab or archives for a couple of hours. Dinner with Mom and Dad was a leftovers meal; we worked in the office after taking care of the clean-up; and now we’re tired and ready to get some sleep – so we will! ;^)
