Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - April 3, 2024

Ehlana and Ethan:

Happy 44th Birthday, Owen Emerson!

Happy 10th Birthday, Gerald York!

We have another early update coming at you, but have a bit more time for it because we don’t need to get to our babysitting gig quite yet; so we’re taking the break now ahead of that action with some of our younger cousins and their friends.  Before we get to the rest of our news from last night, let’s mention that Naomi and her family had a vid-chat with her cousin during breakfast and sent gifts to Gerald; so they did what they could from a distance to help him out with having a happy day.  Cassie and Michael can’t be here to help Owen out with his special day, but Rowen and Tim are helping out with the dinner and party – as well as with the time off from the store that Owen is apparently getting today.

As for our personal news, we had a blast at Susan’s party!  The highlights included the Pizzeria pizza and sides dinner; our musical contributions for the ‘dance’ part of our fun; and we also had an entertaining vid-chat with Jayden that Susan enjoyed as much as most of her friends did while either joining in on the chat and jokes or observing that little blast of entertainment.  There was video gaming and a movie; and then Ethan and I helped with the clean-up before collecting our four best friends along the way home after they packed overnight bags for the co-ed sleepover at our house.  We stayed up too-late; watched another movie and shared the post-party chat time to go along with the cuddling and movie; and then we crashed and napped for a few hours.

Our morning began with Tai Chi and a hot breakfast with Mom and Dad; we had a good day at school that was uneventful; and now we’re transitioning between school and the babysitting job we’ll be sharing with Naomi and Aiden.  There is a good chance that we’ll end up staying at the Carrington’s house tonight, depending on how late the parents stay out at the birthday party, but we’ll let you know how that goes for us with our next report.

All we have left that we want to cover today is the Cassie and Michael update.  They’ve had their first full work day; spent most of the time in the South Ossetia region, but they are also staying in Georgia this week and traveling into the autonomous regions that are along the Russia-Georgia border.  They definitely have extra challenges on this trip thanks to the Ukraine conflict, but while they are being closely-watched and are getting attention they’d prefer not to have; they are also dealing with it and have help with their work from the businesses and charities that we are partnered with – or own through our family businesses.  Most of their work this week is charity related, but there are business projects that are linked too; since we are trying to create self-sufficient communities that won’t need never-ending financial support.

Okay, that’s enough for today.  Stay tuned; and we’ll be back sometime tomorrow – if we survive Zack, Eli, and the rest of the gang of kids we’ll be taking care of tonight! ;^)

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
