Happy 29th Birthday, Dillon!
We’re going to check in with Dillon and deliver a gift, but won’t be in on his birthday celebration beyond that; since Mom is in the city with Dad tonight and we’ll be with Naomi or Aiden for the night while she’s away.
Another nice weather day has allowed for more outdoor time at school and Tai Chi by the river was nice this morning because it didn’t cool down that much overnight; and now we’re only home long enough to pack overnight bags and get Silkie before we go to meet up with our friends to bike and play until dinnertime. We’ll stop by at the lab for that visit with Dillon along the way to the trails; so we really don’t have much time for this update right now. We still need to do that now because Ethan will be with Naomi tonight while I’ll be at Aiden’s house. Yes, we have the technology to still do our journal updates even when not together, but Naomi will make sure that Ethan won’t be interested in doing that later; so that is a moot point! ;^)
Moving along, while we were at school, Mom headed for the city this morning because she’s doing more than just shopping today, and while she’s missing out on Dillon’s dinner and party; he still has lots of family and friends around to help him out with that – along with the kid-free night he’ll be getting thanks to grandparent or aunt and uncle help with the kids. That’s also why we didn’t get asked for any babysitting tonight, since the kids will be there for the dinner and early evening; and the young parents have other options for watching the kids while they go out to the pub after that. Cassie and Michael are missing out on the party too, but then they are working along the Black Sea coast and having awesome adventures of their own; so they’ll be okay!
That’s it for now. We really need to go now; so the best parts of our day will get written about with our next update. Stay tuned for that while we get out of here and go live those adventures!
