Happy 10th Birthday, Julian Green!
Happy 24th Birthday, Brock Benton!
We haven’t had anything to do with either birthday today, but we’re thinking about Brock because he’s having another party with friends that Cassie and Michael are missing while in Russia. The same is true for Julian – though Caleb and Sebastian are helping him out with his celebration today; and their sisters are happy-enough with brother-free time!
As for our adventures, we had fun with the biking after school yesterday; Naomi, Aiden, Sophia, and Aaron were approved for spending the night with us; and we had a blast with everything that included a family-and-friends’ pot-luck dinner; the movie night with most of those guests after that; and then our co-ed sofa sleepover in the lounge that included another movie; some music play time; and lots of cuddling and teen chat time. We stayed up too late; only had a handful of hours of nap time with our favorite cuddle buddies; and then we used some Magi-powered fatigue healing this morning ahead of a chilly Tai Chi workout by the river with Mom and Dad.
Breakfast was hot; our friends headed for their homes after we took care of the clean-up; and Ethan and I have been busy with an all-day cores adventure since then. The weather has been cool by comparison with a high that barely topped fifty; and we really needed to do more yard work today so that we can get ready for the coming holidays and summer adventures. Sure, we still have months to go before our summer break, but we also need to keep up with work at Cassie and Michael’s house too; so we won’t have any trouble keeping busy while they are still away.
We’ve been hired for babysitting tonight, so this report is early because we’ll also be split up for that ‘work’ with our next-gen cousins and their friends. Ethan and Naomi will be at Violet and Dillon’s house while Aiden and I will be at Josiah and Christina’s house. We’re each going to have at least four kids to take care of, and since the night out for the parents includes dinner at the Inn; we need to split up and get going soon. The babysitting details can wait for our next update, since we expect to be doing co-ed sleepovers after the babysitting, but not together; since Naomi seems to be very interested in having Ethan with her tonight and without the rest of our usual group! Judging by the smile on Ethan’s face; he’s okay with that too, but whatever we end up doing; that part of our story will need to wait too because we really do need to wrap this up and get started on our adventures in babysitting.
