Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - April 12, 2024

Ehlana and Ethan:

Congratulations, Jonathan, Savannah, and the McEwan-Johnson clan – it’s a boy!  Welcome to the family, Roger McEwan!

Happy 24th Birthday, Gil Cane!

Roger’s family can’t all head to the east coast to welcome him in person, but his McEwan grandparents are flying out there this weekend; and plan on spending a week with Jonathan and his family.  That’s hot-off-the-press news, since Roger only arrived this afternoon; he and his mother are both doing fine; and we are happy for all of our favorite people in the Johnson clan.

We haven’t had anything to do with Gil’s birthday either, but have heard that there is a party going on for him tonight that Rowen and Tim will be at and that Cassie and Michael will miss while away in Russia.  They’re mostly taking the weekend off for sightseeing and play time, so they’ll survive missing out on a night out with their hometown friends.

As for our own news of the day, Tai Chi by the river was chilly but sunny; it has warmed up to around seventy as we’re writing this update; and we got to have some extra outdoor time at school because of the sun and warmth.  We’re home now and getting ready to meet up with our friends to bike the trails soon, and we’ll have Naomi and Aiden with us for the night too – which is why we’re doing this report early.  Sophia and Aaron will be biking with us too, but they have other family plans for tonight; so they won’t be with us for the co-ed sofa sleepover or the rest of our plans for dinner and the evening.  We’ll miss them, but need to remember that we need to share our best friends; and not every family has parents that work most Friday evenings the way that Aiden’s parents and Naomi’s Mom do at the bakery or salon – leaving their kids free to hang out with their friends instead.

That’s really all of the news we have so far today, so we’re going to wrap this up; move on; and get started on playing for the rest of the day!

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
