Ehlana and Ethan:
Our news of the day is the solar eclipse; since we basically got to have the afternoon off to play outdoors – and observe the eclipse. We had the tools to do that safely and that included some tech that we all got to at least observe if not set up and play with too, but then we also learned about lower-tech options that even the youngest kids could learn about and make and then test in real-time. There were also videos and selfies being taken throughout the afternoon; and the play time that we mixed into the fun was a bonus!
There isn’t much more to say about that, but after what was mostly a play day, we moved on to biking and park play with our friends after we were set free from school a bit early; we enjoyed the warm and sun that did return on-time and didn’t leave behind any disasters, aliens, or other problems. We had a blast with our friends; Mom and Dad went with a grilled dinner with cold salad sides for dinner; Ethan and I took care of the clean-up; and then we went to play at the lab or archives for a few hours.
We loved that work; only did a Magi lesson with Mom and a chat with Mom and Dad after getting home; and then it was bath or Jacuzzi time. Now we’re doing our usual bedtime computing and twin chat; and the only news we’ll add for tonight is a Cassie and Michael update. Their first day in Moscow was all about charity site visits and business meetings, and while they stayed in and near the city today; they’ll spread out a bit further over the next few days. To be a bit more specific, their charity work in Moscow is mostly about setting up projects that will help throughout the country and region, but traveling around the entire country isn’t an option for this trip; so they’re working with partners that already have the networks and connections that we need to get the help to the people we really want to aid and support.
We’re tired and ready to get some sleep now, so that’s it for tonight. Stay tuned; and we’ll rest up now and get back to full-power so we’ll be ready for the rest of our adventures this week.
