Ehlana and Ethan:
Happy Easter, Everyone!
Happy 12th Birthday, Brandon Green!
This has been another amazing, crazy, and busy day; so let’s get right to the update and then Ethan and I plan on crashing and napping for the rest of the night.
We did not have Tai Chi this morning due to the sunrise service, and our chocolate bunnies wish that we’d exercised instead of leaving them earless before we left for the church! The teens led the first service as always; it was amazing; and so was the breakfast in the fellowship hall that we enjoyed during the first sitting. There was a break during the second breakfast sitting ahead of the second Easter service, so we helped out with some dinner prep work; and then we were back at the church for the service that Pastor John and the adult praise team shared with all of us. We loved all of that too; got busy again helping with more work ahead of the Easter dinner that was sped up due to rain and potential thunderstorms in the forecast for this evening so that our weekend guests could hit the road for their homes early too. The Carringtons hosted that meal; we had a large mix of families and friends including Naomi’s family; and we shared Cassie and Michael with his family as they snacked their way through two family dinners today.
That meal was a highlight of our day, we had a blast with the other teens and kids; and then it was time to get to work again as we were on the clean-up crew while others helped with packing and loading up luggage for our outgoing guests. We eventually saw everyone out; Mom and Dad put us to work at home while our best friends were busy with their own families for the rest of the day; and we ended up doing chores for most of the rest of the afternoon. Mom went with a snack dinner that we fit in around Dad’s work; we all joined him in the office for some work and a Magi lesson this evening; and then it was bath or Jacuzzi time by nine o’clock when Mom decided that we’d done enough for today. None of that likely sounds very exciting to our future readers, but we didn’t do much work for the rest of the weekend by comparison; so we were happy to do more – especially when it came to the charity work we helped with tonight that is needed so much. Let’s also mention that we had a cameo visit with Cassie and Michael ahead of the trip they’ll be leaving on early in the morning, but while that was nice; we also needed to share them with everyone else that they wanted to visit before they’ll be away for the next month and change.
That’s all we have for our personal news of the day, and we are not going to get into any rants or commentary tonight; so we’re done now and it is time to get on with the napping part of our night.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
