Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - March 8, 2024

Ehlana and Ethan:

Happy 25th Birthday, Luke Taylor!

Cassie and Michael will be attending the birthday party for their friend, and while Tim is closer to Luke than Michael is due to the farm connection, they also had the football team connections; and Luke and his wife, Denise, are renewing friendships that were partially on-hold while they were scattered around the country at different colleges.  Let’s also mention that Luke and Denise attended a city college in Crystal Springs and opted for shorter diploma programs, but don’t take that the wrong way; since we actually think that we need to have more teens choose tech programs and apprenticeships so that we’ll continue to have local experts in jobs that aren’t really even taught in many colleges.

We didn’t want to get into any major commentary about anything today, since this is another early update ahead of a play night with our friends.  Uncle Adam’s birthday dinner and game night at the Inn were our entertainment highlights of the day – though we were on kid-control during dinner and we didn’t get in on the roasting that Uncle Adam’s family and friends had fun with while we all enjoyed the awesome food.  A game night championship wasn’t one of his gifts, but we all managed to have fun with the games anyway; and then Zack drafted Ethan into staying up late playing video games in the lounge while Brianna and I wrapped up our day with some quality girl chat time, a bit of music play time; and a much-earlier bedtime.

I helped Ethan out with some fatigue healing this morning while Zack slept in and missed the Tai Chi workout that Brianna helped to make more-fun as usual.  We had a hot breakfast; and then we had a happy and uneventful final school day of the week.

Now we are getting ready for that play night with our four best friends.  It didn’t get very warm today, so we probably won’t spend much time outdoors once they get here from checking in at their homes and packing overnight bags, but whatever we do instead can wait to be written about until our next update.  We really want to be ready when they get here, though, and still have a few things to do; so that’s all for today and we are out of here and seriously-ready for some quality time with Naomi, Aiden, Sophia, and Aaron – and maybe Mom and Dad will join in for parts of the night too! ;^)

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
