Ehlana and Ethan:
The rest of Faith’s birthday fun kept us
busy last night from the pre-dinner games through the pizzeria pizza meal and
all of the evening entertainment that wrapped up for everyone except for Faith,
Brianna, and the rest of their sleepover buddies after the first movie of the
night. We’re glad that Faith had a fun
day; and were ready to come home and go to sleep soon-after getting here.
As for today, it has been quiet around here
as Dad has needed to catch up on his homework.
After Tai Chi and breakfast, we did a few chores; headed for the lab for
the rest of the morning; and then we had a play afternoon with Naomi and
Aiden. We attended the evening church
service; followed that up with a Magi lesson and music practice; and just
finished bath or Jacuzzi time. That’s
all we have for here at home, so let’s do a quick pandemic update; and then
call it a night; since we’re ready for another full night of sleep.
Worldwide confirmed cases topped
twenty-five million this weekend. Does
anything else actually need to be added to that fact? It would be great if we could collectively
learn our history lessons, but the surge in new cases for so many other countries
suggests that won’t happen; and we could be in for more of the same through the
fall and winter.
This has been an awesome weekend, so let’s
keep the happy going and not get into a rant or commentary on all of the
problems in the world – at least for tonight.
The final week of our summer should be fun too, so we’ll rest up; and be
ready for those adventures.
