Happy 4th Birthday, Faith!
This update is early, and will be short;
since we need to get back to Faith’s birthday adventures once we’ve gotten
cleaned up and changed from our trip to Quarry Lake.
We’re going to skip a major recap of our
play time last night. The adults got a lot
of cooking and baking done; we – the kids – had fun with our games, biking, and
swimming and playing in the river; and then we all headed for our beds
fairly-early for a Friday night so that we’d be ready for today. Our chores this morning were more about
getting ready for the trip to Quarry Lake, but we had some prep work for the
holiday weekend too; and kept busy until we headed for the campground by eleven
o’clock. The weather today has included
some rain, but other than reducing the available time for playing on the rock
wall; the showers didn’t get in the way of our fun at Quarry Lake. We had a pavilion to be under during lunch;
and we didn’t mind the rain when we were in or on the water.
That is why we needed to get cleaned up
once home again, but we need to head over to the Everett’s house soon for Faith’s
birthday dinner and the rest of her party.
We will not be there for her birthday sleepover, but might end up being
late getting home. We really do need to
get going; so let’s leave the rest of the news for today for our next report.
