Ehlana and Ethan:
This is going to be a short update; so let’s
get to it; and then get back to the fun we’re having today.
The barbeque dinner, play time, and
campfire last night were all fun last night; and so was the camping – though we
didn’t have co-ed camping because we had younger cousins in girls’ and boys’
tents. Tai Chi this morning was more fun
with Dad and our extra exercise buddies; breakfast was quick and easy; and then
we had a few leftover chores to get done before we headed out on our ‘surprise’
trip to Quarry Lake. It was busy there,
but we were at the campground early; played until mid-afternoon; and then
headed home to get out of there as the lakes and activities like the rock wall
got too-busy.
We’ve been setting up tents and getting
ready for a major camping night since getting home; and we’ll have teen ‘counselors’
while the parents have an adult end-of-summer party that replaces the usual
annual party they have for the end of baseball season. The details for that party will have to wait
for the next update too – at least for the parts we’ll find out about; and we’ll
do the same for the rest of our adventures for today. It’s time for us to get back outdoors again;
since the gang of kids and teens we’ll have around here for the rest of the
night are gathering; and it’s nearly time for some pre-dinner play time that is
going to include swimming and backyard games.
