Ehlana and Ethan:
Congratulations Dr. Wendy and Dr. Colt
Carter!
Andrew Carter was born today at the clinic;
Uncle Mark had the honors with help from Aunt Deborah; and mother and son are
both doing well. Congratulations to the
Carter and Reynolds families too!
We were not involved in that at all; though
we did know that it was happening because Uncle Adam was busy all day at the
clinic too; so his work at the lab was on-hold for the day. Our best friends wanted us to play all day,
so we weren’t going to be at the lab anyway; and we had fun all day from Tai
Chi by the river for four through to now.
Our adventures today included biking out to the caves and doing a bit of
exploring; swim time in the river when we got back; biking on the trails with
some friends; and an ice cream stop at the Emporium. We also packed up our tent this morning, but
that was because of the news that we’re going to be heading to the city in the
morning with Mom – all four of us. That’s
also why Naomi and Aiden will be here for the night, but we’ll be staying
indoors because we need to get cleaned up and stay clean for the back-to-school
clothes shopping.
That’s going to be weird, since we also won’t
be doing that as a major town shopping adventure; though there will be other
groups from town going to the city over the next few days – including Aunt
Leanne, Aunt Grace, and other Moms with their kids. We’ll be in the city for two days; and a
dinner visit with the Malloys is the main reason for the extra day – at least
for the kids in our group! ;^)
We can write about all of that over the
next two or three days, but that’s all we have for now. Mom’s option for pizzeria pizza for dinner;
we’re getting our rooms and the lounge ready for our guests; and Naomi and
Aiden are at their homes getting bags packed for tonight and the five-star
sleepover we’ll be having in Crystal Springs tomorrow night. This will not be a late night, but Mom will
likely take the opportunity for a group Magi lesson; and we’re going to have
some music fun too. That’s something for
us to write about another time, but the four of us do need to practice
more-often as a group if we do ever want to have a tween or teen band some day!
Okay, that’s all for today. We need to get back to our little list of
chores; and definitely don’t want to be late for that pizzeria pizza
dinner. Stay tuned – the next couple of
days should be fun; and we’re not just writing that because we are actually
getting to leave town for those adventures.
On second thought – yes, that’s the main
reason we expect to have more fun and that’s even true for the boys and
shopping!
