The weird weather continued today; and we’ve
had to deal with rain, freezing rain, and snow off and on all day while the
temperature moved above and below freezing by just-enough to make the
precipitation unpredictable. One thing
that the weather did do was change up after school plans. Band practice was cancelled; so I brought
Michael home with me to do our homework and stay for dinner. We also shoveled snow at our houses – there wasn’t
enough to bother getting the lawn tractor and snow-blower out; and we used ice
salt to deal with the underlying slippery that had come ahead of the snow. Teen praise team practice got canceled too;
but we may re-book that since we are getting ready for Easter and need every
practice to be our best for that sunrise service and the rest of our
contributions for that weekend.
Michael stayed for a while after dinner,
but he wouldn’t let me keep him for too long; and insisted that I get started
on my bedtime computing early. I did
that in the office with Mom and Dad after he left; the twins studied too; and I
used a time phase so we could all get a lot of work done. That’s why I’m ready for bed so early and
writing this before midnight. The extra
sleep will be great; and that’ll make the rest of the week easier for me
too. That may not add up to what sounds
like a fun day, but we did have a good day; and there was fun mixed in here and
there with the classes, studying, and work – including what has been some rare
snow-play time for us this winter.
Oh, and for the record – Ethan, Ehlana,
Naomi, Sophia, and Aiden did not win that snowball fight against Michael and
me! ;^)
Okay, that’s it; I have to stop, drop, and
nap now; so, until next time...
...May the Magi Force be with you!
