Happy 9th Birthday, Brandon Green!
Congratulations, Lily and Reid Spencer – it’s a boy!
Dustin Spencer was born today, and while we often include these baby-news stories in our journals; it still feels a bit different when the parents are high school friends of Cassie’s and Michael’s. The Ayres and Spencer families are having a happy day, and Dustin is also a cousin to Uncle Nick, Aunt Deborah, and their kids – as well as to Naomi and her family; so we have those connections too. Friend connections link us to Brandon Green too, but while we only had a bit of involvement in his special day while as school; we weren’t involved in his birthday party or after-school adventures.
We’ve ended up with a rain day around here, so most of our school time was indoors; we played at the lab after that until dinnertime; and that meal was late because Mom helped out at the med center with some scheduled vaccinations. That isn’t something we’ve written about since the weekend, but Mom has helped out for a while every day so far this week; and we should also mention that our favorite doctors will be giving everyone vaccination cards as the second placebo shots are completed over the next month or so. We may all need more-official government documents in the future to be able to travel and do other activities, but we’ll deal with that whenever needed.
Moving along, we had fun at the lab or archives; dinner was a quick-and-easy crock pot chili and sides; and then we risked working together in the office for a couple of time-phased hours before Mom sent us up to our rooms for the night. We had a short music practice once on the third-floor; and we’ve been doing the rest of our regular nightly computing while having our bedtime twin chat. That’s pretty much all we have for tonight, so we should wrap this up and get some sleep. This hasn’t been as much fun as the biking and play time with our friends has been over the past couple of days, but it has still been a good day; we got a lot done; and feel great about that; so we’ll have lots of happy to take along with us into dreamland now.
