Ehlana and Ethan:
We are wondering today whether Mother Nature has kids that are back at school full-time this week! Tai Chi by the river was great this morning thanks to one of our warmest nights of the year that left us with a starting temperature near-sixty. It has warmed up since then to around eighty for the high this afternoon; we got to spend a lot of time outside while at school; and the awesome weather had everything to do with our choice to bike and play with our friends instead of working at the lab or archives.
That might sound as though Mother Nature was gifting an awesome weather-day for the kids, but we can assure you that all of the kid-free parents have enjoyed the nice weather and free time. Ditto that for our favorite collegians, though Cassie and Michael couldn’t take any of their classes outdoors and had to settle for spending time outside during their breaks between classes and at meals.
There hasn’t been any news for Cassie and Michael so far today, but we can report that May had an awesome spring break with Lee, his family, and some other friends. Her plans for the week worked out for us and our vaccination clinics, but we still missed seeing her for this holiday; and hope that she’ll still spend most of the summer break with us instead of with Lee or elsewhere. We can mention that she will not head back to China this summer because of how expensive it is to fly right now and the risks of getting stuck there or in quarantines at both ends of any trips. That makes it tough on May – and her parents and family, but that’s true for a lot of people now; so we won’t offer more on a story that is only different for us because we’re personally involved in May’s ongoing pandemic drama.
Moving along, our biking and play time with our friends this afternoon was the entertainment highlight for our day, and then we were home for dinner with Mom and Dad and a ‘normal’ work-study evening that included a Magi lesson and a return to our doctoral research. Mom used a time phase for a lot of that work, so we were able to come up to our rooms by nine o’clock; we had a short music practice; and then split up for tub or Jacuzzi time. Our bedtime twin chat has been multi-tasked with computing that has included email checks and a bit of digging around in the Hathorne Industries systems, but while we can confirm that Gwyneth was at her home in Princeton over the Easter weekend; we don’t have anything else to offer about her; since she manages to keep most of her personal activities out of the company computer systems – which is one of the reasons for why we can’t keep track of the goons she hires to come after us.
Let’s hope that we don’t jinx ourselves by mentioning any of that tonight; since we have been grateful for the break we’ve had since the last batch of attacks on Cassie, Michael, and Dad.
We don’t really have anything else to add for today anyway, and should go and get some sleep now; so, until next time...
