Ehlana and Ethan:
We’re doing a double update; so let’s get going from where we left off with the last report.
Our school day was fun, but that had as much to do with decent weather and extra time outside – along with looking forward to our plans for the rest of day – as anything education-related. The real fun for our day started once we were set free from school and headed home with Zack, Brianna, and some of our cousins and friends. Aunt Leanne was home from work early; we had a snack break; and then we were set loose for some biking and park play time. Zack and Brianna led the charge before we left to get bonus sleepover guests, and while Aunt Leanne pretended to be horrified at the suggestions for a gang of kids in her house for the night; she coordinated making most of that happen for us while we were out playing. She also chose to avoid cooking dinner for us; and a pizzeria pizza dinner was a hit with all of us – news that we also got when we returned from the park and trails along with the approvals for all of the extra sleepover guests.
While Naomi, Eli, and Faith were among the first additions for the night; Aiden was added to keep our foursome together; and Caleb and Sebastian opted for hanging out with us too – though they’d also been given the chance for a sleepover at Sebastian’s home instead. That was the choice that Hailey and Leah made – though they stayed with us for dinner first – as did some of the other parents that were available to hang out with us then. We won’t write about the parents that got kid-free nights; since we really don’t need to know what they were doing with their night off from parenting! ;^)
Moving along, the pizza dinner was awesome – even with Zack and Eli leading some not-very-funny food games. Gaming was the name of the game for the guys after dinner, but the girls watched a movie instead – after homework was done by all kids; and then we headed for our beds because it was a school night.
Tai Chi with a gang was a bit weird this morning because it was too-cold out for exercising by the river, but we managed to do that indoors even though we were a bit crowded and had a bit of overflow into the hallway. Breakfast with the big gang of kids was an adventure; and then we had to rush to get everyone ready and to school on time. We had a good day during our classes, but the weather stayed a bit cooler today; and we opted for play time at the lab or archives after school.
We did stop in for a visit with Mom before going there, but we saved up most of our story time for while we had dinner; and don’t need to comment on her night in the city with Dad and without kids either – so we won’t do that! We had fun at the lab; dinner with Mom was a quick and easy meal; and then we had a study or work evening that was not newsworthy at all other than mentioning that we were glad to spend that time with Mom. Once we had our work done it was time for Jacuzzi or bath breaks; we just finished up with that; and now we’re pretty much ready to call it a night and get some sleep. We’ve had a couple of really happy days, and hope that trend will continue into the weekend – especially once Dad gets home again. Whether that happens for us or not will be news for upcoming updates, but that’s all we have for tonight; so, until next time...
