Ehlana and Ethan:
This will only be about a one-day update; since we’re writing it early again before heading over to Naomi’s house for the rest of the day while leaving Mom and Dad on their own for a kid-free night.
Our dinner prep work that followed our last update was entertaining thanks to the early arrival of Aunt Leanne and Brianna while Zack was still playing video games with Eli and some buddies. Dinner was an adventure thanks to Zack and Eli while the adults in the house were happy to miss out on that food fun in the sunroom. Their games left us with extra work to do for the clean-up, but we had a fair bit of help for that; and can’t complain – especially when that also had us avoiding some of the ongoing annoyances from the junior pranksters in the house until we headed up to the third floor too. Fortunately for us, there was also some family gaming and a movie in the living room to keep busy with after that clean-up; and then the video gaming that all of the kids were allowed to hang out for after that didn’t really last for very long – only while Dad got to have a chat after that movie with our aunts, uncles, and cousins.
This is where we should mention that two of the adults were Violet and Dillon. We haven’t mentioned them very often in our journals, but that’s mostly because the top news in their lives isn’t something that we’re involved with on a daily basis. Violet still has more than a month to go before her due date, but while she’d love to have their little miracle arrive early; she is doing well and they are keeping entertained with all of the prenatal fun that goes along with Mom’s program for babies. Mom doesn’t really need to work with Violet, Dillon, and their baby anymore now that they’ve been at that for months, but she does still check up on them regularly; and is happy with how well our newest cousin is doing.
Moving along, we loved having some non-lab time with Violet and Dillon – along with everyone else; the games and movie were good; and then the highlight of our day was the co-ed sofa sleepover that we were able to get started on after our guests headed home for the night. There was a second movie that we didn’t finish watching and some cuddle and chat time too, but then we were out for the night after a very long, busy week.
This morning began with Tai Chi by the river with all six of us, and while it was still cloudy; the rain had moved out of the area. Mom and Dad went with a hot breakfast in the sunroom; we all pitched in for the clean-up; and then Naomi and Aiden eventually moved on to the bakery or home while we were put to work on another round of spring clean-up chores. That kept us busy until one o’clock; we had lunch; and then Mom and Dad set us free for the afternoon. Their enthusiasm for letting us do that had at least a bit to do with Naomi’s sleepover invitation for us, but the motivation didn’t matter to us; since we were happy to go biking with our best friends. We hit the trails and biked most of them for a couple of hours; and now we’re split up while three of us pack overnight bags for our night at the Seagers.
As with yesterday, the best parts of our day are likely still ahead of us, but we’re leaving our computers at home; so those adventures will need to be added to our next update. That’s all we have for today, since we don’t even know what Naomi and her parents have planned for us tonight and don’t need to know what Mom and Dad will be doing while we’re away; so, until next time...
