Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - April 4, 2021

Ehlana and Ethan:

Happy Easter, everyone!

Congratulations, Christina and Josiah – you’re pregnant!

The news about another ‘pandemic baby’ won’t be public knowledge until official test results come out, but Mom was first to find out about Christina’s change in social status; and loved getting to share that news with her while we were at church for the Easter services and pancake breakfast.

While we’re writing about babies, we should also do an update for Violet; since we haven’t been doing that in our journals – mostly because our personal involvement in her pregnancy is very limited.  She’s counting down to her due date by weeks now; Mom and Uncle Adam are making sure that she’s doing well while also working with her on prenatal training for her baby; and Violet and Dillon are already pretty much ready to be first-time parents – including having the baby’s room ready to go.  We’ll have more on that story once our new cousin arrives, but probably won’t have much news about that between now and then – at least in our journals.  That does remind us that we could also mention that our Magi-powered vaccine-healing is safe for pregnant women and their babies; so Christina has nothing to worry about from her recent treatment.

Moving along, our day started very early; we had some Easter fun with Mom, Dad, Cassie, and Michael; got ready for church; and headed to the sunrise service at the church.  The entire morning was non-stop busy through that service, the breakfast sittings, and then the regular Sunday service.  While having the majority of our community vaccinated now was most-noticeable at the church, we were as-happy to find out that the Sunday buffets at the Inn have returned too – an Easter surprise that everyone loved finding out about this morning.  Jacob and Jake couldn’t do everything as normal because of food supply issues, but that was still awesome – and we got in on the last buffet sitting of the day.

‘We’ didn’t include Cassie and Michael because they were on the way back to their townhouse by then, but they did spend some time at the Inn and had a meal on the fly with his parents while also having a last visit with Sierra.  They spent some time with us too, but that was a bit of outdoor biking fun; and then we took a break to help them pack up their car after their visit to the Inn; they met up with Rowen and Tim by three-thirty; and then they were gone and won’t be back again until after their final exams.

Naomi and Aiden helped us out with keeping busy while missing Cassie, Michael, and Mandy; their families did the last buffet at the Inn too; and we’ve wrapped up our holiday weekend with a quiet evening at home.  We took Silkie for a walk after getting home from the Inn; did a Magi lesson with Mom; and followed that up with a music practice; bath or Jacuzzi fun; and this update and twin bedtime chat.  The biggest news for next week might end up being our return to full-time school, but we’ll keep you posted on that; since we also need to decide what we’ll do for our work-play schedules between now and the end of June now that we are back to school every day and also don’t have any need to keep regular vaccine clinics going – at least that we need to help with; since the second round of vaccines will only be for show.

Finally, we’ve had another awesome weather day, which is why we spent so much of our free time outdoors and on our bikes.  We’ll hope for a lot of warm, sunny days instead of a month full of April showers, and since that’s a happy thought to go to sleep with; we’ll wrap this up now and go do that! ;^)
